korg nanokontrol 2 not recognized by iPad
My Nanokontrol 2 is plugged into the same powered usb hub as my iPad (camera connection kit). The iPad doesn't recognize the Nano; I looked at a HaqAtaq video from a couple of years back. The Nano IS listed in AUM under midi devices in the video but when I follow the same procedure with my setup, the Nano is NOT listed in AU. What I'd really like to do is to get it working inside Camelot Pro, but again, the Nano is not listed as a midi input device.
The Nano IS recognized if I use it with my Macbook- when I open Logic Pro it tells me immediately that it's recognized the Nano.
What am I missing?

Just a suggestion: make sure the iPad (CCK) is connected to the host port of the powered USB hub. It usually has an attached cable, or is separated from the slave ports.
Could be a firmware update on the midi controller.
The "problem" has to do with iConnectAudio4+, which I use as my audio interface. Incoming midi devices are assigned a midi port (up to 8 devices). I discovered when I opened the iConnect Auracle app on my Macbook that the Nano was assigned to port 4, which I had not activated.
My guess is you've connected it with a USB cable that is for charging only and doesn't carry data. Some mini USB cables are like that.
[edit] sorry, I cross-posted before seeing your post above about the 4+.
Sounds like you resolved your issue. It also sounds like you hooked the nano using the USB port on the back of the iconnectaudio4? If that's what you did then the iconnectaudio usb port is not the same as a USB hub. It's actually a USB master device that mounts MIDI devices internally and relays MIDI messages out through its connection to the host computer/iPad.
No, the iPad is plugged into its dedicated port in the iconnect and the nanokontrol is plugged into a slot in my powered usb hub (which in turn is connected to the iconnect)
try connecting nanokontrol directly to the ipad first
if it works then nanokontrol to the hub and the hub to ipad
post back the results
