AI Voice Gen for iOS?
Hi,
On my PC for my home studio, I use Synthesizer V to generate audio "singing" based on MIDI notes and typing in the lyrics or words.
Is there an iPAD app that can do this? I can leave my PC alone?

I’m not familiar with Synthesizer V.
There’s definitely app options, but nothing that quite stands out for “serious” iOS musician's quite yet, at least that I know about. I just quickly searched “AI Voice” or “AI Voice generator” in the App Store and a slew of apps came up. The ones I looked at are all free but with an IAP. There’s a bunch of them so it might take some time/trial and error to find the best one. None are really geared toward “serious” music makers, if that makes sense, but any of them could be used that way… Especially in combination with an app like Vocal Tune Studio which could take the AI voice and really make it sound however you want. One of the problems with AI apps in general on iOS is there’s a million, and another dozen every day, so it can be a bit difficult to identify the best of the bunch.
There’s a ton of Ai web sites, but most of the voice ones seem to be paid or freemium.
You can use this website Future Tools to search AI tools, you can filter and sort by several options.
Voice.AI is one to look at.
I always liked an app called Talker! It’s been around for a while so I don’t think it’s takes advantage of some of the more recent AI advances.
I’m sure there’s something useful out there, hopefully someone can direct you to a specific app that works really well. I’m sure we will see an Ai voice app made for iOS musicians in the near future.
There’s also Klevgrand Pipa, which will play midi, but you can’t type text in, and Bleass Voices, which is more of a harmonizing type app, but will make any sound/voice sound lovely.
Cheers!
Musica.ai looks ok, but never tried it.
AI Voice & Music Generator is another option.
Here’s the app talker I mentioned above. It doesn’t respond to midi, but it has a lot of voices, and can sound out odd spelling and extended words. Ie “dis iz it” or “Saaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy It” you can export the audio.
Talker - Text to speech
Pocket Singer is quite good.you can import a vocal and convert to midi and lyrics , or manually input both.Looks like it’s from the same people as Ace studio on Windows and Mac.
Is that on desktop only?
Not available yet, but what if we campaign for Plogue to port Alter/Ego to iOS? It already has an audio unit
https://plogue.com/products/alter-ego.html
It’s a free alternative to Vocaloid.
There’s
https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/pocket-singer-my-oc-sings/id1665512424
Also if you can jump through the hoops there’s a version of vocaloid in the Japanese App Store
@BiancaNeve if you use a VPN routed to Japan, will download?
Not a voice generator or AI but iVoxel is an interesting option if you’re willing to put the work in creating the voxels you need.

I’ve always been interested in this one but it isn’t AU and hasn’t been updated in 6 years. Does Matrix Vocoder do the same thing or is it only the vocoder part?
No, it’s different from a regular vocoder (though it can be used in that way too). You make voxels, spectrum analysed recordings of individual words or phrases. Lots of voxels included or you can make your own. Then you can compose on the included piano roll and assign any voxel to any note or notes - thus, you can apply any melody you want to your words or phrases (as long as you’ve created the voxels required). I’m not explaining it very well I fear but it’s a really interesting app.
I think I understand what you’re getting at. So can both apps do this or only iVoxel? It sounds super cool but I’m hesitant to buy an app with no update for 6 years. Matrix seems actively developed.
You need to set up a Japanese App Store account, and buy Japanese store credit.
I did a fair bit of hunting on this, but in the end cleaned up an old laptop and stuck free cakewalk on it, and then bought some emvoice voices.
Means the workflow can be a bit backwards and forward going between IOS - exporting the instrumental wav, importing into cakewalk, doing some lyrics, then exporting back to IOS, mixing, then doing the whole lot again multiple times until I get what I want !
Emvoice is cloud based, and there are some hints they've been sending about some big developments coming along - so I'm hoping it will be an Emvoice audio unit, as it shouldn't be that hard to do
No, only iVoxel does the voxel thing (as far as I’m aware, I don’t have Matrix). Yeah, I get what you mean about the lack of updates but I presume since we all know the developer is still very much active with his other apps, I guess he would fix it if it were broken by a system update but otherwise considers it a finished product? @VirSyn, any plans?
I would imagine he would as well, but it could also be a sign that something else, maybe an improved version, is in the works. Sounds like a lot more interesting than I initially thought though.
Hey so finding sound generator app for ios can be difficult. but try this sass- https://audiomodify.com/
