Slush - Porcelain Idols

Hey, is Hilda still the bomb or what?!! Love this thing. And it’s sequencer is so much fun and creative. Could use a shuffle and a 32/64 step switch @brambos to make it even cooler!

This one is with 3 instances of Hilda (3th one flows in after 5 min.)

He’s the minimal goat imo alongside Jeff Mills and Plastikman.

That’s a great set! My fav hood album is minimal nation. It’s kind of the album that started minimal techno.

  • Definitely not a techno guy, but I really dig all the tracks you're posting on the forum. It seems this style of music syncs my brainwaves and heartbeat, like resetting a clock, not sure if this make sense...
If you have a few recommendations for similar minimal techno artists, I'd be interested to hear some of your influences.
Anyway keep the creative juice flowing, it sounds great!

Many thanks! It certainly makes sense what you say about syncing your brainwaves, this is how it feels for me too. A flow, kind of hypnotic journey is what I aim for and what I like so much about minimal and dub techno. My influences are probably a random collection of memories from the 30+ years I am listening and making this stuff. But the roots started for me with dub techno in the 90s with Basic Channel, Rhythm & Sound, Maurizio, all different names for the same producers Moritz von Oswald and Mark Ernestus who are the grandfathers and inventors of dub techno after the Berlin Wall fell. Their Chain Reaction label has a lot of interesting artists. For minimal it’s a bit harder to pinpoint. @jdp000 Named a few, Richie Hawtin working under the name Platikman created some very interesting masterpieces. Tresor label has great stuff.

Scion did a great mix from Basic Channel stuff.

Robert Hood’s Minimal Nation and Jeff Mill’s
Waveform Transmissions vol 3 are two classic minimal techno albums.

  • I like what you did with Hilda. It's inviting and energetic. Repetitive but not boring, it evolves nicely. 🤩
