My daughter's first album
She was 15 when she did this; except for the title track my involvement was doing the synth patches and writing a couple parts on a few of the tracks , which were made in Bleass Omega, Synclavier, IVCS3 (title track) and Mood. NUMA was also used...Samplewiz 2 was used on the title track....my 1 year old son's lag was sampled and then altered to sound scary lol
First 8 tracks are the album; following 2 are bonus cuts

I meant "son's laugh" earlier...I'm not going to try to edit the post again cause everytime I do I inadvertantly delete the poll -_-
Only had time to peep the first 2 tracks but sounds great so far. I’ll return to it tomorrow and finish it. Tell her congrats on the release 🎉
Afterlife is the real standout for me. Excellent use of harpsichord.
Thank you all...I'll let her know when I call her this evening
Jay has been playing keyboards since she was 7...self taught, never had any lessons. I'm incredibly proud of her
My favorite is Tango Of The Damned. Jaymie is a natural talent. You should be proud! I firmly believe that people come back in different incarnations. She might be Mozart. Please tell her that I think she’s dynamite,
Will do!
We used to have the Final Fantasy 9 soundtrack playing as her bedtime cd when she was a baby, and I think she must've absorbed a lot of it.
Besides keys, she plays bass, guitar, and is learning drums
You go girl!
Some track notes
1) All Hallows Eve is a remake of a track Jay originally did in Garageband here: https://fear2stop.bandcamp.com/track/all-hallows-eve-2 I replaced the GB instruments with patches I made in Bleass Omega and Synclavier Go, and copious amounts of Bleass Delay and Shimmer
2) Afterlife - My personal favorite; that melody legit makes me tear up. Numa Player made up the whole track here
3) At Rope's End- Entirely made with Omega. That lower melody is one Jay has used for years on many different songs, most noticeably here https://fear2stop.bandcamp.com/track/end-of-the-trail
4) Tango of the Damned- made with Omega, Numa Player, and Apesoft's Mood
5) In the End- Mood, Omega, and Synclavier
6) Where the Sidewalk Never Ends- Synclavier, Omega, Mood, and KQDixie (the lower keyboard part). This is another remake of a track she did last year https://fear2stop.bandcamp.com/track/where-the-sidewalk-never-ends-2022-version Also done in SquareSynth 2 here https://fear2stop.bandcamp.com/track/where-the-sidewalk-never-ends-chiptunes-version
7) Dark Renaissance - Mostly Numa Player and Mood ; KQ Dixie is used as well but it's buried pretty far in the mix. The "flute" part is actually IVCS3
8) Cursed- We still have the demo of this on my hard drive, which originally recorded when she was 12. IVCS3 is heavily used on this, as is Mood, Omega, KQ Dixie, Synclavier and SampleWiz 2 ( the laughter buried in the background at 1:51 which was my son's sampled laugh)
Bonus Tracks:
9) Captured - IVCS3, Synclavier, Trooper, Omega and Mood. This was her covering a song I wrote previously back in 2003 (yes...20 years ago) and adding new parts.
10) Where the Sidewalk Never Ends (16 Bit FM Version) - This version is entirely Omega and Synclavier
I love hearing how people made tracks and what they used. I’ll read along to this later tonight when I listen to the rest. Thanks! Hope the warm reception here makes her proud.
I'll let her know when I call her tonight
Another great piece of work. Your daughter is very talented 👍 (as obviously are you !)
My favourite was Tango but all very enjoyable, I can hear classical, medieval dance influences… all good 😊
Love that you always take the time to listen to everyone’s creations Tony. Wish everyone here could do that for everyone else. I try and still miss a few but we should all be more supportive of each other.
It gets me out of washing the pots 😊
I’ll let her know when I call tonight ! 😁
