Perilous to us all are the devices of an art deeper than we posses ourselves.

Live noinputmixer thing with lines, rymdigare and K7D. All in aum. One take recording, not that that’s particularly impressive.

The video is public domain film of airstrikes during the Vietnam war.

We need a ceasefire now.

  • Thank you for this, Dan. The Tolkien quote is very welcome in this context.

  • Suitably sombre.

  • Raise your hand if you go to sleep at night worried about incoming rockets and have children.
I simply cannot imagine living through it. The children will never forget it and forever bear trauma of it.

  • Very harrowing and fitting for the times. Great work.

  • Great marriage of sound and vision. We’ve not come far from banging each other on the heads with wooden clubs really…

Thank you and well done for spotting it. I’m glad you approve.

I have to admit, the worst images I’ve seen, aren’t the bodies or the destruction but the clips of kids shaking with shellshock. To treat the innocents in this way. As a dad it shook me to my core.

Same here. Unfortunately harder and harder to remain optimistic these days.

    Big hug from Italy brother

Compelling title. Google tells me it is from the Lord Of The Rings, itself an allegory for the despoliation of war. And excellent use of found footage. Apparently in the UK now expressing the view that children should not be rocketed to death in their beds in vengeance for the despicable actions ordered by grim old men makes you a purveyor of hate speech, possibly liable to arrest if you dare express such views publicly. Rarely has the notion of a cycle of violence, violence begetting yet more violence, and on, and on, in endless Ouroborousian madness, seemed so obvious. In such a climate, music makes an eloquent, uncensorable appeal directly to emotion, sidestepping the sophistries of the men of violence (and sadly, it is almost always men) on both sides.

And this piece is an impressive proof of that. One of the best no input mixer pieces I have heard so far. Weird to say I ‘like’ this, given the context you have placed it in. But I do.

Thank you! I can't believe the absolute horseshit that Braverman is peddling at the moment, it's incredibly decisive and dangerous. I just hope that the majority of UK public recognise her actions as part of the violent death throws of a government that has lost it. Otherwise things have most definitely taken a turn for the worse. I'm very grateful to you for your kind words and I wish you all the best

  • Music good! (I enjoyed your NoInputMixer usage @sevenape)
