My Nambu presets pack
Hello everybody,
Here is attached my own presets pack of the incredible Nambu synth.
Mostly acoustic plucked strings instruments (bass, nylon guitar) as well as an expressive flute.
I will try to add a koto and ghuzeng later.
What is really cool with this synth is the ability to easily emulate acoustic instruments while preserving realistic legatos and portamentos.
Also a quick demo video.
Sorry in advance for my bad playing as I had to use the virtual keyboard on iPad with one hand and the modwheel on iPhone with the other hand, so very limitating.
Oh yes, every instrument is sensitive to modwheel - and should be played with.
I hope you will find this useful.

Hey, these are really nice! I love the Accordion patch .
Thanks for sharing! Nambu is such an underrated synth.
Nice, thanks!
When I get my phone back this week, I'm going to get these...I LOVE Nambu![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Thanks, Paulo — some slick programming here… nice accordion and flutes, in particular!
And can you explain the trick that will slow the tremolo down after 8 seconds in the plucked mandolin?
Thanks Paulo!
Sorry, how do you import these into Nambu?
Thanks for these Paulo, cool stuff. One thing though, I get huge sound bangs when changing between some presets. I tested with Spidericemidas presets and they do not behave like that, very strange indeed.
@RockBottom The tremolo picking is generated by Layer A with a looped texture. The default repeat speed of 88ms (11 per sec) is modulated by all 4 envelopes, some of them with negative and some with positive influence. It gets a bit more compilcated as env 1 and env 4 run through a range of +1 to -1, while env 2 and env 3 produce values between 0 and +1.
Great patches TY!
Thanks for these Paolo! Very generous of you.
Yeah I can’t figure it out either.
Sometimes it’s obvious and easy ( e.g recent banks for Noises that folks have shared), other times it’s a mystery.
Bloody iOS file management 😡
Here you go: https://icegear.net/nambu/manual/#HowToImportSoundPresets
These are great! Thanks @Paulo164
Thanks @NeuM but that doesn’t explain how to do it….

Ok I figured it out. @gusgranite , unzip the zip file, then locate unzipped folder in downloads. Open folder and long-hold on each preset and then select “share” - a window should appear and you should see Nambu icon there…press that. I tried to “select all” but that didn’t work.
Tedious, as always.
Thanks @Paulo164 . Am especially liking the tremolo pluck!
Ah, you're right. It's much less useful than I thought it would be. LOL. At least you figured it out.
I'm glad you posted that, cause I was gonna ask the same thing lol
I'm assuming it's a similar process for exporting presets too, correct? I plan to be sharing the ones I made...
Thanks @Kashi - double tapping the preset seems to work too which is a little quicker.
@Paulo164 Great share! Thank you for taking the time 👍
You can just tap on each preset in the folder + it’ll import automatically into Nambu.. yes.. still one at a time but easier than trying to select share etc… you may want to organize them into another folder in Nambu after import.. also 1 at a time.. should be able to multi select to move.. yes, a bit tedious..
Could maybe save as a whole bank once you put them inside another folder in Nambu + then export that as 1 soundbank to install again later or on another idevice.. 🤷♂️
Awesomeness! Thanks for sharing @Paulo164
Thanks for sharing Paulo!
Is there no batch import still? I dunno why devs expect users to import presets 1 by 1 and then 1 by 1 add them to a folder, it's insane. Surely there's a better way?
I think I batch imported spiders patches.
Hi everyone,
I am glad and a bit surprised to see my presets have found so much interest here ! 😀
Lots of people were complaining that Nambu had no factory preset. But for me it has been a playground to explore sonic territories. Initially described as being mainly - and wrongly - an FM synth, I quickly moved toward the samples+resonator option to create “realistic” and expressive sounds.
More to come in the future…
Yes, you are absolutely right.
I don’t know currently what causes this bangs when changing presets and noticed that the bang loudness is not equal between all presets. It’s difficult to predict the bang when designing a preset. We are focused on obtaining the timbre we look for and, when we are finally done… bang ! 😬
You are welcome.

At least, once imported, you can select several presets and move them to another folder.
Note : If you only have 1 folder (ex: the “User” folder), this one will be greyed out - as you need to select another folder - and you will not be able to exit the modal window, implying to force quitting the app => I have sent an email to the dev.
EDIT : issue only occurring with the iPhone version. On iPad, you can click outside the window to close it.
Thanks Paulo seeing as k was the one hassling you
really appreciate it, they sound very cool, will experiment more later through a bass amp . I do like one of the basses in particular.
Changing the mic really creates cool variations in black ice amp
I’m wondering how sample plus resonator actually works
Oh finally, I forgot one cool stuff with the guitar/bass presets : you can tame a bit the output volume and insert your favorite guitar/bass amp sim in an FX chain to benefit from the best of both worlds.
Cool, good advice. Thanks @royor![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
