I think the dev might be spinning a few plates at the same time. There will be a computer version (VST?) and recently Flow was released.

I presume midi in will come when the PC version is launched. It is well overdue.
I messaged the dev some time ago, maybe a month ago at least, about the persistent issue in Riffler Flow where you can clearly hear a slight unwanted sound the end of many of the riffs just when they loop back round to the start. This is disguised by the reverb and delay but you can often hear it if you take those off. It should not be be there. I never heard anything back and unfortunately that was not the first time I had asked about it and received no reply.
There are developers that have created brilliant apps who are responsive and committed to not only supporting their apps but to improving them (Fernando with piano motifs is a very good example). Jonathan has created two good apps but, for some reason, chooses to ignore their customers even when those customers have valid reasons to contact them. I have been tempted to post a negative review on the app store to see if that gets their attention and to warn others that the developer is not responsive. I have always maintained that queries and complaints should be raised with the developer directly not via the App Store but when the developer consistently ignores you what are you to do?
I have also messaged a few months back and also stated that I, and a few others, would happily pay an iap or for a new app. But still now reply. Which is a shame because he used to be very responsive.
Keep in mind that a lot of these developers are one-man operations. Perhaps he has other life issues to contend with. Been there myself. Riffler is really good at what it does, even with it's limitations. I find that's it's fun to try to think of creative ways to get around them. I recently posted a crazy thing called Dark Helmet that uses Riffler in strange ways. It's not a "serious" piece of music, but it was a lot of fun.
Not everyone can be like Piano Motifs' @azul3D_Apps. He is an exception. Actually, he's a frickin' genius! And seems like a really nice guy, too.
Regarding Riffler, I'm sure there is a good reason that he appears to be busy with other things. I just hope they are not bad things.
I suspect that they’re busy trying to get the desktop version of Riffler out. It’s a new market and more profit to be made and I understand that may be their focus but they shouldn’t forget or ignore their loyal iOS user base. I paid full price for both Riffler apps as did many others and they should have the decency to respond to genuine queries, even if it’s just to explain they’re busy but will get back as soon as they can. It’s called customer service!
Hello!
Sorry I've been so quiet but I've been extremely busy with freelance audio programming work for an upcoming video game. There have been really tight deadlines and it's ended up dominating my life for the last few months leaving me with little time for anything else.
I've still got really ambitious plans for Riffler and I'm still actively developing it. I'm going to be doing less freelance work soon which will give me the time I need for Riffler. I'll be posting updates on my websites once I've got them.
Riffler has always been a one person project but I'm hoping to bring in somebody to help me soon so that I can progress a bit faster.
Great news, thanks for the update Jon
Thanks for the update, Jon.
Riffler is my favourite and most used IOS app and I am grateful for all the work you have put into it.
Thanks for the update. I appreciate that it can’t be easy if you’re working on your own but it’s good news that you may have found some help and I look forward to seeing how you take Riffler forward
@jon_bell : Yeah thanks for checking in. I think I’ll stick with Riffler
