Logic Pro - Always resizing windows clicking and scrolling?
I cannot seem to get me head around the various window in Logic... To me it's a giant mess...Logic does not seem to remember any of the previous window positions. No matter what I´m trying to do I always need to press way to many buttons, resize and scroll..
Is there a way to lock the mixer view in full screen view ?
Is there a way to jump in and out of a third party plugin ui without having to click multiple times and resizing to view full screen??
Once the project starts to grow I get lost in all these resizing windows that always seem to open in a default view that is not optimal for me ? It takes forever to do simple task and going back forth between the arrange page and a third party plugin takes so many clicks that you almost start to cry if you need to readjust something.
I have seen many tutorials and practiced navigating the app - but I´m stuck.
To me the workflow is chaotic and inefficient
Am I alone ?

One thing that helped me (YMMV of course) is that I learned to do more of the mixing stuff in the arranger view rather than the mixer view.
In other DAWs you adjust faders and tweak plugins in the mixer view, but in Logic on the iPad it seems to be much more streamlined to work in the arranger view and adjust the faders there by selecting tracks and using the big fader on the left (you have to make it visible). Then you can also access the plugins as mini-tiles and open them from there.
This approach seems to lead to a lot less resizing of panels in my experience. I only open the mixer view now if I'm adjusting several faders at the same time, but never to tweak plugins.
You can also adjust Aux channels and their plugins in the arranger view if you use the "Add Track" function to convert them to regular tracks.
Also double tapping the bottom bar helps a lot.
Like anything, you can get used to it quickly if you are willing to adapt slightly. It is easy to get yourself a bit tied up in knots though. Took me a minute to work out the right kind of patterns of operation to suit me… they don’t bother me anymore. I can see why they can be bothersome though.
I would hope these issues are addressed in updates.
I would have thought Logic’s screen sets would have been perfect for the iPad. With screen set you can save and recall the current configurations of windows and on the Mac recall them with a tap of a number key — a feature introduced with the very first version of Logic.
A little pop up menu in the top bar would be perfect for this on the iPad if you don’t have a QWERTY keyboard attached.
So with logic on the Mac you can, for example, have a screen with just a mixer window opened to fill the screen on set 2, hit 3 and get a full screen piano roll, hit 4 and get an arrange window zoomed out to see the full arrangement with all panels closed, hit 5 for a zoomed in view of the selected region (windows can be linked to whatever is selected), hit 6… etc etc.
I still use screen sets regularly on my 27” display when using logic on the Mac.
I’d be very happy to see them make an appearance on the iPad.
Screen sets would be so welcome
To me opening a plugin - resizing to full screen - going back - resizing again - bla - bla, is also a massive killer.. Its to time consuming
You can full screen with just one tap: when you open the plugin just tap once on the horizontal bars icon on the far right and it will maximise the panel, tap again to restore:
And double tap the bottom bar (in any empty part of it) to hide all the panels and get full height tracks view.
This was one of the things that drove me away from Logic. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, just a PITA for me. The tabs on the left side of C3 are a lot easier for my ADHD brain to grasp lol
I spent most of my time in the Mixer view and that is, as you say, the worst place to access plugins...
Well, at least Logic for Ipad has made me fall in love with Mac OS again....
I liked Cubasis 3 a lot better, but I guess that only apple has that auto cloud saving feature...
Hmmm
