Elephantcandy - Level.24
Analyzer,EQ,Compressor,Limiter...from the developer of Live FX.Looks cool so far.

Looks like something that might be good for some light DIY mastering.
On the face of it, this looks perhaps similar to Remaster (which I have). I like that the frequency analysis and the EQ share the page, similar in that to one of the Auria plugins (which I don't have!). I'd be interested in feedback from anyone who has actually tried this.
a couple of weeks/months ago i was REALLY lurking for an (Analyzer)app like this for Mastering purpose but it turned out the combination of Fabfilter Pro EQ and Saturn (yes, works good as an Analyzer as well)is all i need without leaving Auria for such purposes.Would be to much of a hassle for me.
I've been waiting to hear what this is like and have been holding off... until I noticed that it's was on sale that is, and now I feel like the matter is kinda out of my hands. That price tag had sure better skyrocket after I buy
I know I hate when I see an Audiobus compatible app has an "Introductory Price" I con myself and almost say I have to get it haha
Just purchased and it looks good and seems very responsive. There's an included manual which explains everything and a few presets to get one started. Definitely going to refer back to my favorite software plugins and come up with some more settings so I can create additional presets. Won't be able to do a more intensive run-through until later today (it's 2am) but I sure do like what I'm seeing!
.
As far as I can tell reading through the FAQ's and Manual, it solely relies on Audiobus at this time and I don't know if there is future plans for AC/AP
It is an EQ w/a compressor. I will be surprised if it even records, let alone cut-n-paste. I have got an eye on this app too. It has one review so far and it trashes the app due to bad Audiobus-ed-ness. I am eager to hear what people here say. The only problem is that I think everyone else is also waiting to see what others say first. ;-)

It records...it records...it definitely records!!! All the controls (record & playback) are located at the bottom of the page. Awesome!!!
Just used Level.24 to record one of BeatMaker's demo songs while using Level.24 in the Audiobus fx slot...and it works flawlessly on my iPad 4! BeatMaker's latency was set at 256ms and I used Level.24's Loudness preset. Once the recording is done, you can open up a menu, which shows the name of the file (can be edited or even deleted), the size of the file, the length of the file (time wise), and the actual date and time in which the file was recorded. At the bottom of the box it also displays the free space remaining on your device...the amount of space in GB and time. Level.24 does have a setting for Low Latency (ultra low latency) but it can't be used currently with Audiobus. The only anomaly I encountered was in selecting presets, as occasionally I would have a problem switching between the last 2 presets on the list...I'd have to choose one of the first presets in the menu, then could switch back down. The user can create their own presets and even change the order in which they appear, which is a nice touch. Later, I'll have a chance to hook it up to some powered monitors on my desktop...but so far, I really like what I see & hear!
Will also investigate how Level.24 saves its preset data...and if the data can be created on the desktop and ported over via iTunes or one of the various iPad file managers.
@mocomain - just FYI latency in other apps when being used in conjunction with Audiobus is insignificant due to the way iOS handles latency. Meaning, the first app to open use its latency setting and any apps opened after it will run on that same latency setting regardless of what there's is set to be. Which is why Audiobus is supposed to be opened first and has its own latency setting (either 256/512). All apps you open after that will run on the same latency as Audiobus, thes is how iOS handles it and in terms of Audiobus provides consistency, control, and less/no crashing.
In mentioning latency, I was just letting everyone know that I experienced no hiccups when recording BeatMaker through Level.24. Concerning Level.24's Low Latency switch...according to elephantcandy's FAQ, "the switch toggles Low Latency mode on and off. With Low Latency mode enabled, Level.24 introduces virtually no delay between the sound’s input and output. However, not all hardware is compatible with the low latency setting, and Audiobus currently doesn’t support it."

Yeah. I saw that. To be honest I kind of like the idea of an app that does just one thing, fx in this case, instead of fx, recorder, synth, dishwasher programmer.
I'm still looking for an app that can wash dishes...
Check out Di$h$hiner by WaveMachine Labs. It's a little pricy but the midi capabilities are awesome and my glassware has never been sparklier.
I bought this. It's pretty nice for what it is. I'm using it to put the finishing touch on some tracks I made in BeatMaker 2. The compressor/limiter is particularly handy for upping the volume of tracks to a more "commercial" level of loudness (without squashing the hell out of all the dynamics).
It definitely needs copy and paste, though. Right now I Audiobus a BM2 mixdown from AudioShare into Level.24 while it records. When it's done, the apps trade places and I play the "mastered" song from Level.24 into AudioShare as it records. Hopefully they add copy/paste soon, because this workflow wastes a lot of time.
@haunted can't you go Beatmaker->Level.24->Audioshare?
@syrupcore: Yup, I just prefer to play a mixdown in AudioShare instead of playing the song live from BM2 to keep CPU use as low as possible.
Like I said, though, if Level.24 gets copy/paste, that whole workflow won't be necessary. I'd much rather just paste a mixdown into Level.24 and work on it that way, then paste the final master from Level.24 into AudioShare for Dropbox backup and posting to SoundCloud.

Any more thoughts from users on this app?
I really like using Anytune and Remaster for EQ, but interested in this for its real time spectrum analyser.
I own Auria but haven't plumped for the Pro Q IAP yet.
Wondering if this would fill that gap for the time being.
@Auria users - I'm curious as to how this compares to Fabfilter EQ. also if im not mistaken, on Auria you could have fabfilter on every channel whereas with Level 24, you could only have this via Audiobus on input into Auria?
When i mix down, i tend to do a lot of subtractive mixing (ex, filtering out low end of guitars, keyboards and filtering out high end of bass and kick tracks) . So for this workflow, level 24 would be of no use. Am I correct in this situation?
My need for this has diminished significantly seeing that Cubasis will have a full parametric EQ in the next update (mid April?).
Meteor has a nicely designed 3 band parametric EQ. I like the graphical display.

I bought it now that it has IAA but i can't get the IAA to work. It's just doing nothing wenn i open it in Audioshare or Cubasis.Still iOS 7.1.2 here.Anybody else having problems?
edit:also not working in AB.Tried to reinstall etc.Nothing.Useless.
Just want to share my experience with the amazing elephantcandy support!I didn't see this coming,i expected more of a lazy support (looking at their update history and lack of communication). We wrote a lot of mails to nail the problem down and after one day they were able to fix it.I even got a beta fix so i could test it without waiting for apples review.Problem solved! That was supernice,i'm off to spend some 5 stars on the app store now and maybe i'm gonna buy the Phaser as well There is also an update for LiveFX in the works!
