Thump one auv3

First time post

Just bought thump one and no matter where I put the attack and decay I’m getting the nastiest click even when I just use layer (No bass frequencies)
Anyone else have the same issue?

  • Been checking demo vids of thump one.
    No click anywhere
I’m figuring iOS update killed the app
Just like it did with grind from audio damage

    Another one

    Another one?

I don’t think any update has killed anything. I’m not having any issues at all right now. Probably best not assume an app is just broken and leave it at that.

What device and OS are you using? Have you checked the manual and read over all the settings to make sure you’re not missing anything? Have you contacted the dev about it instead of just coming here and saying the app is broken?

Audio Damage is kind of gaining a reputation for letting older apps rot. The whole iOS AUv3 ecosystem is still in its infancy, relatively speaking, so I guess I wouldn’t be too surprised if major iOS releases brought some breaking changes, but that’s not my experience with Thump One. It can definitely get pretty clicky if you don’t soften the attack, and I find the UI far from intuitive. But it can be tamed, and it’s worth the effort IMO.

lol I have it and never said that couldn’t happen, but that wasn’t the exact case with Grind. It was more of the dev giving up and not updating the app to fix the issues that came up along with the iOS updates. That’s not the case here. The dev is very active and responsive and even comments here semi regularly.

Leaving comments like that can turn people away from buying apps so best not to comment that with no real proof, as I mentioned.

Like @mjm1138 mentioned, it can be very clicky just given the nature of the app. It’s a drum synth after all. Try softening the attack, use the time knob next to the decay to adjust. If you still can’t get it exactly where you want try an attack softener or transient shaper.

Its first and foremost a drum synth so it’s not really made to have super smooth attack for pad sounds, though it can be coaxed out of it.

No! Well, not me anyhow. Latest iOS and iPad M1 11' (you don't say what device you use). Tried the 15 first presets and didn't even use the smooth option in settings. No clicks. I also added Grind from AD and no problem there either.
Edit: Also, I think you should add to your title, adding: "problem with" ... or something to the that extent. Later when someone search for Thump for info they might wanna see the release thread. Just a thought.
