Not even halfway through yet, but it’s been really interesting so far.
Not sure what conclusions might be drawn from this (I guess I’ll find out when I can get back to it), but I’m glad it’s not an outright rejection of current notation standards from the get-go. I watched something similar a while back where someone compared many standards (including spoken/written languages) that have developed over time and have their own problems - music notation is no different from most entrenched systems, as it has reached a level of convention and is broadly used.
There are lots of things we could ‘fix’, but finding consensus on what is ‘better’ and gaining acceptance for it is near impossible after centuries of standardization.
Good man, his critiques of UI/UX are also always spot-on and also very entertaining and fun (for example the one on Sibelius)
