Short trips 3 - long Oldfield inspired instrumental with video.
Don’t have a millionth of Mr Oldfield’s talent, but I’ve always liked his 20 minute instrumentals that kick off some of his albums. So since I started writing/playing music (lockdown 2020), I’ve tried to create a long instrumental each year (Hence the ‘3’) - partly to show things I’ve learnt - in this case Logic Pro IOS and Davinci resolve
All the music was created in Logic Pro ios, with a few external auv3s.. I used piano motifs for one part of the track, but the rest is created by playing around on chord pads and scales within Logic Pro
Video footage is drone video I’ve taken since I moved to this beautiful isle 2 years ago.

Worked on the track for a about 3 weeks and then spent a few weeks working out what I was going to do for the video - it needed to keep people engaged due to the length of the track - but I think the "island" views tied in well and also harked back to some of the inspiration from Oldfield.
As for the location, it's the Isle of Portland, UK. It's where all the stone comes from for the UN building, St.Paul's cathedral etc
