iConnectivity Audio4+ and powered USB hub

I'm using an iPad Pro with IOS 17. 4+ works great with the standard setup- iPad USBc connection kit out (USB-B slot), to input on back of 4+ . The issue is that with the USB-b going out from my iPad into the 4+, there's no way to run an external hard drive or webcam. It took me a long time to figure out why the hub I plug my midi devices into wasn't recognizing the webcam or external hard drive, but I finally realized that the powered hub in conjunction with 4+ isn't designed to recognize those kinds of devices. It's like I need a second "out" from the iPad where I can plug in a second powered USB hub to plug them in and have them recognized.

Is this making sense? Any workaround?

I think you need to plug the audio interface into a hub connected to your iPad. Plug your other peripherals into that hub.

  • For iConnectivity to work correctly, the ipad USB out from the connection kit must go directly to the USB input slot on the back of the 4+
