Does Drambo have a saturation module ?

I am trying to add some “dirt” and power to make it sound more like an analog synth or mixer. I would normally look for a saturation module , some distortion and compression, , but I can’t find one in Drambo. Am I blind or is it called something else? Perhaps Roughrider is enough as an AUv3?

    You want the Shaper module.
The Graphic shaper is also fun to mess with.

  • Under Processors search for Shaper or Graphic Shaper

Thanks you all. Also, Is there maybe a better eq than the 3 band eq that’s listed?

  • If you want more saturation, maybe try ChowDSP's free BYOD (bring your own distortion) module. If not that, Saturn 2 is an amazing sounding choice but costs a fair bit.

Drambo does not have a better EQ module currently, I'd look at AUv3s for that.

Thanks, I may get those if it really makes the sound come alive. I want grunge and edge. The sound is sometimes just too clean and sterile.

  • Just on the EQ front, and the caveat is that I’ve not tried these in Drambo (I’ve barely used it), if you just want to test a couple out take a look at both the Neon Silicon EQs and Audiothing’s Blindfold EQ. All three are free, so no huge investment.

  • I'd check out the 'Shaper' module in Drambo, it's got a very nice clip algorithm and a few nice saturators as well...

As for EQ, when running Drambo under iOS17/iPadOS17 the Apple AUv3's can be used and they include a nice multi-band EQ with spectrum analyzer etc.

  • I really love the Drambo saturation module and Ryo Togawa and Neon Silicon both have free AUv3 EQ’s.

    AUv3s I'd recommend are...

    -TB Equalizer (only $10)
-Blindfold EQ (free last time I checked)

  • This is really useful… to know that you can get into Drambo and still need to buy AUv3’s. I have been afraid to joint the Drambo club and have no further excuses.

BYOD is a free distortion tool. All the ChowDSP apps are free and they are world class inventions based on current science!

BYOD has more modules via IAPs, and I plan to get those soon. :) Not only to support the dev, but also to have more sonic toys to muck about with.

  • Anyone try Bleasse saturator or. Saffron?
I’m looking for a simple and effective saturation device. The FabFilter I’m sure is great, but a bit complex for me.

Explore BYOD before spending money. It is too-notch and powerful.

  • The ChowMultiTool is also quite handy to have around, the Waveshaper can saturate quite nicely.

Sometimes i run drambo synth modules thru drambos analog filter module. The tone knob on there adds drive or saturation to the signal. I personally love its sound

Great tip. I’ll try that !

    Yep👍🏽

  • As mentioned BYOD and Saturn2 are thinking of saturation on iOS. The shaper modules in Drambo are great though. I’d also put Mela 4 up there. Handful of different distortion modes and all are very good.

Yeah, I tried the Shaper module and it’s fine for me.
    Thanks
