More Simplistic Piano Roll
Hi,
I have purchased the amazing Atom Piano Roll. It slices, dices and makes MIDI fries.....
Is there another piano roll that is more simplistic app?
(example - it doesn't have multiple layers)
Thanks
Alex

Are you only looking for an Au midi app? Or can it be a host?
There’s also Helium.
Loopbud but not a lot of editing features.
Koala has a piano roll.
Drambo, and LK, but both are probably a little more complex.
Atom 2 can be simple, if you don’t want to dive too deep into it. You don’t have to use the extra layers. You can keep it simple switch from MPE mode to channel filter mode and just use 1 piano roll layer on 1 midi channel. Hopefully that helps a little.
Atom, to echo @Poppadocrock, can be as simple as you want it to be. If you don’t want layers use multiple instances. If you want a clip launcher Atom can do that using those very instances, or you can complicate* matters and use LK, Drambo, or even Mela 4.
*that’s not to say that any of the software itself is “complicated” (implying hard to use) or “simple” (implying incompetent)
Drambo's piano roll was developed to be as "simplistic" as it gets in terms of being super straightforward to use, somewhat like the original Auxy composer but with a little more power.
It can be set to cover almost the full screen size and it has a quick way of zooming and jumping between pattern bars, something that's very important for me.
It’s a great piano roll
