A Koala thing
I used the stem splitter in Koala on an old track of mine that I was never really happy with, added a vocal sample and I like it better now.
All live looping in Koala.

The clicking percussive track really made it visceral for me. Lots of powerful techniques to wrap the sound around the listener… I used headphones and will do another run on some speakers when the time is right. I picked up a “ iFi Zen Blue V2 - HiFi Bluetooth 5.0 Receiver Desktop DAC for Streaming Music to Any Powered Speaker” on amazon just for this type of comparison.
I’ve lived in headphones for years now. I own some Yamaha power speakers that were in storage for 4 years. I wanted to hear some of my own projects and see how they hold on on a pair of monitors places across the room.

I bought one of those gigantic bundles from Ghosthack the other day. In an attempt to justify the purchase to myself, I sifted through one of the vocal packs and found the one you hear.
Oh cool! It sounds excellent. I need to be on the hunt for more vocal samples. I don’t sing and any vocals in my music is either spoken word or samples.

That clicking percussion is minimalist genius! This is a great track. I always admire that precision of your aesthetic choices, always just enough, but no more. Wish I had that self control.

Lovely work, visuals and music. The voices sounded like soprano sax to me (which I’m a fan of) but with a character all of their own. Enjoyed it a lot 🙏
