Ai sound morphing
It hit me earlier that this might be the first (imo) exciting creative application of Ai musically. It was all teh rage a few years ago - remember the top sound morphing tech being out of consumer reach and there not being any good solutions otherwise. I mean proper sound morphing, not just patch switching in the same synth where parameters shift.
I was watching a few different stablediffision extensions and thinking how morphing is the current parlour trick with image based Ai, and it’s pitfall - couldnt the pattern recognition be used to morph the signature of one sound to another pretty easily? I mean, it doesn’t even need to get under the hood. It’s whole thing is that it operates on the qualia - I think.
Maybe I’m out of touch but I’ve only seen voice morphing type gimmicks.
I mean thinking about it - how long till the first Ai synths? And Ai modelled instruments? Where ai becomes a mode of synthesis, jist as fm subtractive etc have been
Edit: This is an early Ai synth

It’s based on morphing. I found a few different projects. You can try the free web version here, This also had me about a previous post I made on an app to add expression and swam type expressive parameters to any synth making them more expressive with mpe. I think ai can do this as it takes the sound converts it to something abstract then reshapes that. So that in this example is used to morph between sounds but it can pretty much be applied to any sound mangling.

It exists but on desktop.
Sorry I don’t remember right now the name of the website.
However it was not based on AI, just DSP.
Edit : I have it https://www.zynaptiq.com/morph/
Now you can morph a tea spoon with a frog.
