Definitely some nice updates here -- the UI changes look wonderful and I'm very, very excited about the new MIDI operations. Iftah's M4L devices also look phenomenal as always. Roar looks like something I'll use in every project even though I'm a Dynamic Tube fan.
Meld doesn't seem exciting at the outset given how recently we got Drift, but I'll reserve judgement until I can start patching. I haven't ever used browser tags in the past but maybe I'll start now. I'm still holding out hope that they'll bring Note's Capture MIDI visualizations over, as well -- it works fine on the desktop version, but I find that Note's extra visual feedback makes the feature much more pleasant and predictable to use.
@Tarekith I know there's zero chance you'll be able to say anything even if you know the answer, but should Push Standalone users hold their breath for any additional announcements? Or will P3S 12.0 focus primarily on matching the new devices and scale features from Controller mode? I imagine it's all hands on deck for the desktop release right now.
EDIT: Digging into Ned Rush's livestream and Meld seems very cool.
Holding your breath sounds painful and dangerous, so I'd never recommend it. That said, development on Push 3 is far from done, so I'm sure we can expect some more info on that in the future.
YOU probably don’t need it at all, for others , especially those who use a Push and perform live with it, then Logic doesn’t even remotely come close, I use both, I’ve been a Logic user since version 9 but when it comes to working with clips it’s Ableton and my Push 2 100% over Logic Pro
Is it true that all Live synths are now MPE compatible? That’s something to get excited about.
No, not all of them.
I was always there for the Max weirdness, as far as I am concerned it is Ableton’s ace in the hole. So many great third party little applets, very strong on the autogenerators… Now I’ve got Bitwig as well. My ideal DAW would be a mashup of the two of them…
