Spitfire raise their prices

Anyone else noticed that Spitfire have just increased their prices within the last few days. Just in time for Black Friday. An example was Stratus (By Olafur Arnalds) was 249 and now is priced at 299. (GBP). Pretty large increase and just before a potential sale (maybe). Pretty underhand if you ask me. Was thinking about buying something in the sale, but not now...

Interesting to know. That's some price jump. It's an obvious tactic from all corporate companies, but I don't think Spitfire did that in the last 2 years (I know because I "investigated" the sound packages every month-two before Black Friday to see what I'd want the best, and I got everything I wanted on 2021+2022 BF's).

  • They wouldn’t be the first (nor the last) company to raise prices before a sale.

Just logged in again today and prices have dropped back to what they were before... Perhaps an error on their part, or a sneak peak of things to come? Who knows, but a 20% increase on libraries seemed a bit steep. Let's see what happens. (Should have taken screen grabs)

  • So… go figure. Checked spitfire this morning and something weird going on with pricing. Using Stratus as an example, it came back as priced as £299 when logged in, so logged out and lo and behold price dropped to £249? (And I had cleared my browser cache prior to visiting their site) Here are screenshots:

  • Just logged back in and price stayed at £249… probably best to ignore me! 🤣
