Search similar sound

Is there an app similar to what ableton 12 does that you can switch or search for similar sounds?

I remember an app on desktop that generates a color cloud where sounds are grouped by similarity…

Do we have something similar, if not, what dev could take on the task?

Comments

  • So basically you have a patch and can search for other patches that are similar to that one? Making sure I’m understanding correctly.

  • I think it would also depend - is this just working with ableton's own plugins? If so, something similar on iOS wouldn't work in aum for example with 3rd party plugins, I guess.

Would definitely need more info on how it was trained, how it works, whether and how its knowledge base gets updated, etc

    Logic’s browser
You can find similar matches in the Browser for instrument and audio patches, Apple Loops, and samples.
In the Browser, tap an item in the results list to select it.
Tap the More button at the bottom of the Browser, then tap Find Similar.
