Switching interfaces via Logic Pro, available in AUM
Hello there,
I just found out that, when connected to my interfaces (ICA4c, Kmix), Logic lets me choose the preferred one (lets say: the iPad speakers), and after having done this, AUM will also have this selection working. You have to switch inside Logic Pro, but afterwards it is the chosen output also in AUM! A sign of things to come hopefully (being able to switch interfaces on the fly…)?

I noticed this too when I have the HDMI monitor plugged in. Logic actually changes the system default so I can use the iPad speakers instead of the monitor speakers. Very cool. Happy camper.
Isn’t this a specific iOS/iPadOS 17.x feature, or?
Believe this showed up system wide in iPadOS 17.1, prior to that Logic was the only app capable of using it
Well, on my end (iPad Pro 11“ 4th gen with 17.1) this is not possible outside of Logic. Good for you, if you can switch interfaces anyhow…
It would be nice if it was a system feature that you could access in the settings.
If you drag down at the top right corner of the screen and click the playback control I think you should be able to change it there:
