  • Really beautiful @espiegel123! And Loopy Pro looks really beautiful, too - I don't have it, yet.

Thanks. I have found Loopy Pro indispensable for practicing and for catching ideas. For me it is a very quick workflow..especially since I can add elements to the work surface.

  • Good insight and good noise.

  • Nice relaxing theme, I enjoyed it. Thanks!

  • Excellent @espiegel123 !

I really need to properly dive all the way into Loopy Pro. I love it for quickly making weird drones and launching them but I know it’s capable of much much more.

    Sweet! Thanks for uploading that!

What kind of guitar, @espiegel123 ?

1975/6 Ibanez Artist mahogany solid body prototype with humbuckers . It was the prototype for a model never put into production and apparently left by the Ibanez rep at a guitar store. My understanding is that it was proposed as the Santana signature model but he chose one of the other proposed designs.

  • Thanks for doing this… there are some Loopy Pro templates available for sale but only 1 template being shared at PatchStorage.com. There are many video examples showing step-by-step processes to make a template but no one has watched and shared the resulting template.

I know there’s a Loopy Pro Discord group and maybe templates are available there but the ABF+PtachStorage synergy is usually pretty strong so this is good news. I will usually download anything at Patchstorage in the hope of learning something even for an app I may not open frequently.

Nice, it has a well balanced tone.

It is kind of amazing what Blackhole can do for a clean guitar going direct.

  • The project is now on patchstorage with a little manual

    https://patchstorage.com/rc500-easque/

  • Beautifully packaged… I got the zip and unzipped it to disclose the “Loopy Pro Project” file type and the PDF manual.
I clicked on the Loopy file and it opened Loopy with the project loaded and ready to go. The project pops up and explanatory text field. I haven’t put a guitar through it yet but I suspect I could just load it into AUM and benefit from
    it in that context too.

  • Nice! Thank you for the patch as well, will try it very soon.

  • @espiegel123 I’ve considered buying Loopy Pro many times, also for guitar, and your example here may have pushed me into it.

  • Absolutely gorgeous! I could loop this for hours.

  • Very relaxing and nice playing! Love the clean lines of the Loopy Pro layout also.

There are quite a few templates on the Loopy Pro discord and some tutorials showing useful techniques.

  • Thanks for the template! Nice and pretty straightforward.

I am thinkering with it a bit, I want to add a new donut, to import a basic drum file, like an 8 bar loop from a Lumbeat drummer.

Or I could use an extra donut for fingerdrumming and recording a beat.

And I don't have a blueboard footpedal yet, so I have to stop the recording with my finger. I have to solve that problem with something. If I use a imported beat, I can preset the first donut to a fixed bar length. I am busy with is, lots of trail and error.

    A few things.

This project is set up with all recording quantization of. So, you will probably want to change recording count in and out quantization on. What settings you need will depend a little on how you want things to work. Probably you would leave count-in at none (the dial ensures that recording happens when the previous loop stops) but set count-out to something like custom with one or two bars to ensure that the length makes sense.

What do you mean about having to solve the problem of using your finger to stop the recording?

Let’s stop there deal with one issue at a time so as to avoid potential confusion.

  • One feature I was thinking of adding was a donut that isn’t in the group that can be always running. In my main project I have a groove loop that isn’t in any group so that I can record a groove to provide the feel I play against.

  • @raabje : let’s continue the discussion in a new thread I created to dixcuss this template and how to modify it.

    https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/58347/rc500-esque/

  • Thanks for building + sharing this.. I love being able to open different loop templates (hardware based approximations) depending on my mood or the instrument(s) that I’m playing..

The clean guitar into Blackhole sounded great.. a chill vibe.. sometimes the simplest path is the best sounding..

  • Too short ! 🙏

    :)

Thanks for listening. I am making up for the years of thinking guitar solos needed to be 10 minutes long.
