It does sounds great but with my precious experiences with Behringers synths I’ve kinda sworn off buying anything from them that isn’t one of those sub-$100 pocket synths. Maybe the quality is better now though. It should be anyway after how long they took on this.
Idk, my DM12 is still pretty solid after 4+ years of ownership. Never had a single issue with it, other than being bewildered by its depth.

Yeah I had a Pro-1 die on me. Sounded great but I’d rather have stuff I can rely on.

No matter what I do, I will never understand people’s love of the oberheim synth…to me it’s nothing special at all. The only unique thing it can do is not cut out as much bass when the resonance gets pushed up. I just can’t make myself GAS for it at all.
It’s right up there with those thin Dave Smith offerings that I don’t like. The trifecta of synths I hate are: OB anything, Prophet anything, and most of all Korg wave station. No Thanks. My Fantom EX, deepmind12, peak, hydra, microfreak, minifreak, osmose, and Iridium all sound much better and can produce way more variety to my ears than this 1500 behringer clone or its 5000.00 oberheim twin. If I am spending that kind of money it’s easily on a Super Gemini! No comp!

Hopefully the tech they've developed for this flagship poly will get used in other polysynths they develop.
I believe they are working on a Juno 60/106. When that comes out it will be day one for me.

I had to exchange and the multiple different Neutrons and Odysseys. After that I kinda gave up on them.
So what’s the price of this beast ?
They already have integrated some of that know-how within the Pro-800 Poly Aftertouch, also CC control over parameters, not exactly ground breaking but a Sub £400 analog synth with these features I’d say that’s a reasonably good deal.

Nothing wrong with Behringer, but, I would rather buy the new Yamaha Genos V2 instead…

I heard the chorus on the Deepmind can get very close but doesn’t quite nail it.
Yes, to emulate it you really have to use quite a few fx slots or all, but to me it’s the filter that isn’t as close to the original Juno’s.
Nothing behringer has made so far, including the new stuff, can defeat the behringer deepmind 12…change my mind. I’ll wait as you struggle to find untrue answers and make no case what so ever. I’ll even state this fact, behringer hasn’t made a better synth than the deepmind ever ever, and from the looks of it…never will.

You wouldn’t want a UDO Super Gemini over the behringer UBxa? Hahaha I can’t logically understand this at all. You must like synth horns a lot, because that’s all the oberhiem engine can seem to do very well…or maybe you cover Van Halen jump a lot? The UDXA doesn’t even have effects…I do think they have announced somewhere that it’s 850-900 usd though…so I guess that would be good news for you. Now you can synth horn your way thru 2024!

Deepmind 12 is really a good value for the $. I don’t think anyone who loves synths could go wrong here, just remember it takes balanced cables. Most of the mods and the filter can get into audible ranges, and the mod matrix just makes this very powerful. The effects are really decent and add to the deepmind a lot. Using the iPad app also gives it the ability to morph between 4 patches…a lot of people don’t use this, or don’t make videos of it. I am not hating on anyone who loves the Oberheim; I just think it’s too samey. The synth just reminds me of a Korg polysix… it’s fat..but it doesn’t really have much variety in comparison to other synthesizers. If you play 80s rock and 80s synth driven music in a cover band, then the UBxa is probably exciting to you. If you want to have a synth that can craft a wide range of sound …it’s not it…at all.
