@AlterEgo_UK : yep, the bass is good old Model 15 sequenced by Atom from some live jamming in KB1 in Scale mode. The other synths are King Of Digital, with the same KB/Atom two step. I made the audio clips from YouTube screen capping into Koala, then manually triggering them there over the backing.
@michael_m : interesting. I can hear how the deepness of the bass has a dubiness to it, but I always associate dub bass with the very particular full on delay to the nth degree wacka wacka of fully stoned dub Reggae.
@LinearLineman : Nope is the answer to that one. I never imagined myself spending so much of my rapidly diminishing time making my noises, that’s for sure! Carl Sagan, the far sighted genius behind the audio quotes here, read by a newsreader from his final book The Demon Haunted World, was, as it turned out, rather more spot on in his estimation of the social media/populist politician/fake news dumbed down hellscape we now find ourselves in, thirty or so years on since he wrote those words. For sure, I lack his perspicacity and prescience. But: I feel you have a specific point in mind?
@HotStrange : thank you! I’ve always liked this kind of found audio collage mashup, ever since listening to the likes of Cabaret Voltaire back in the day, using actual tape. Trouble is, with copyright strike algorithms everywhere, there’s almost no point in making this kind of stuff these days, and it means I can’t include such tracks on any albums I might want to distribute to the streaming platforms, or even enable it for free downloads, so as much as I enjoy them, and would probably make a lot more of them, combining my two great enthusiasms of film and audio… there’s no point

@Svetlovska i share your pain. I love sound collage/plunderphonics/musique concrete, but you really have to be careful which is a shame.
I love me some Cabaret Voltaire. Those first few albums are great. Them and Throbbing Gristle have been pretty instrumental for me.

Wow I’m jealous! I would’ve loved to have seen them or TG live back in the day.
Sometimes myself and friends get together to recollect, we have a tendency to piece together the thread of factuality, a composite of collective memories, although one who remains nameless has become the very personage he absolutely despised back then, so much so, he denies all he was and he really was the best/worst of us all.
Nothing to be jealous about, live, love and be loved, when in the thick of it enjoy the ride.
