MIDI Harmonizer
Hi,
Is there an app that reads MIDI notes, and you can set it to generate one or harmonizing notes, based on Key/Scale.
So if I set it to say the key of G, and set it generate a 5th up, and I choose the major scale - it will generate 5 notes up from whatever I feed it.
Thanks
AJ

is also be interested in an app like this.
I'm pretty sure there is already a script for Mozaic which does this. Check out https://patchstorage.com/platform/mozaic
Rozeta Scaler ?
This is pretty easy to script. Just add the right number of semitones to the MIDI note number, e.g. add 7 for a 5th, 12 for +8va, etc. The critical part is remembering to send the transposed Note Off when the root Note Off arrives.
The Chordulator does something like this, but it does chords, not specific intervals.
That could work. Use the incoming transpose knob with the scale set to the one you're using. Then parallel route the midi to the synth and through Scaler to the synth.
That sounds like the simplest option.
If I recall, scaler can be a little fiddly with the jittery midi correction so it might not be perfect for you. Not sure if it’s more stable now or if it was my workflow, but I do remember hearing ‘ghost notes’ that were being rescaled, like very occasionally you would hear the note shift in the transients…it wasn’t a major problem but I do remember it being annoying enough for the project I was doing at the time to not use the app again. It could be my fault though, I’m pretty sure I was working on something with a very high bmp lol
I think scaler does give you the option to either reject notes or have them transposed, which is cool
You can try ChordBank with chord size set to 1. Maybe it will fit your needs https://apps.apple.com/ru/app/chordbank/id6470079737
Quantichord (by the ChordPadPoly guy) wa pretty much designed for this application.
If you have Mela you can do the same thing (with a little more fuss)
I think Patchstorage has Mozaic scripts that will work as well. @wim s chordulator is great
Or use Rozetta Scalar - one instance per interval wanted.
