Rebelle 7 Digital Painting Software on preorder offer.

I know this isn’t music related but i know there are several members here who are interested in painting/graphics applications so i hope it’s okay to post this. Full disclosure: yes, as well as genuinely letting others know about these really good preorder prices, i am posting in order to be able to claim the free paper packs…I’m not on any social media platforms so this is my only outlet to ‘share’ the information. If that’s not okay, moderators - @thesoundtestroom - please feel free to remove the discussion completely, no problem.

Rebelle is a really good digital painting application for desktop which excels at the mimicking of real world media such as oils and watercolors. In my experience that means it requires a really rather powerful computer - more powerful than my current one - so do your research with the demo versions before jumping in would be my advice.

  • I’ve heard good things about this, but never tested it. Hopefully they’re not “painting themselves into a corner” trying to mimic real-world materials to such a degree that the software becomes unusably slow, which is what happened to Painter.

Yeah, i know what you mean - it’s incredibly impressive what it can do but I’m really hoping they’ve managed to optimize it and improve performance on lower spec machines somehow in the upcoming version - I’ve no idea if they have though; haven’t read anything claiming that’s the case. As i said, definitely worth demoing the current version to get an idea of performance before making a purchase decision.

  • The deal is good enough that current V6 owners are salty about the low price. I have V5, so I'll definitely grab it and not be salty :)

It is a hefty discount, that’s for sure. I’ve just been checking out the trial again on my underpowered PC. I think I’ve found a semi acceptable workaround until i hopefully have a more powerful machine in the future - work on a small enough canvas size to allow acceptable performance and then turn on Nanopixel (Pro version) to allow export at a more acceptable size. Seems to work okay but if anyone reads this and can see a flaw in this workaround, please do point it out.

  • They just put their gear on a ninety percent sale, perfect for me as I was just approaching the end of my thirty day demo. I tried the other apps but not my cup o trees so stuck with just this…
