    Hi,
Thanks for the cool video. I always overlooked it but this synth looks really fun. It almost makes me want to buy it (currently on sale I think).

Just a warning: It doesn't have a built-in preset browser. If you make your own presets, you have to save them in the host and they won't be available in another host. If the host doesn't provide its own preset browser you can't get to the presets at all, even the factory ones.

It doesn't save presets? That blows! I think I will stick with Subscription Synth for now or Thor. They both got balls.

Just to be clear, since the conversation has strayed and more than one app has been discussed, my comment was about Electribe Wave.

@FPC How do you like the sound of your CS?
And would you sell the Erebus too?

CS is my favourite synth I've ever owned even though - sound wise - I'm sure it could be easily emulated in iOS. I just love it's form factor, ease of use and design. Even is many compromises end up being delightful to me.

The Erebus is too analogue! Beautiful filter but for what I do it was poor purchase. It's almost like a 1960's Delia Derbyshire sound effects synth.

Oh, thanks for the warning. That’s a bummer indeed…

Yeh, it sucks. I would use it so much more if the preset system was better. It's even a pain in AUM as the factory presets are in a flat list, and not in folders. So much scrolling. 😕

Cool, thanks! Yes, I've also read a few complaints from users that preferred the Erebus V3.

You still have thor? And Sunrizer?
Both excellent synths that will easily cover what the MS2000 can do. No reason to look back, they both even have excellent arpeggiators.

I had a CS for many years and for the price I think it’s one of the best synths you can get. Deceptively simple and super fun to play. I wish I still had mine honestly.

Funny you mention that both the Erebus. I owned a V3 and a Nyx 2 and that’s the reason I loved them both so much. The Erebus especially could definitely get into that BBC Radiophonic Workshop sound.

  • The MS2000 follows the legacy of the Prophecy and Z1 along with several iterations MicroKorg, Radius along with quite a few other iterations at least in part all grounded in the original physical modelling technology.

Even if the MS2000 and the rest of it goes on eBay, the CS stays <3

I sold mine and highly regre it. Definitely hang on to it! I’m basically all iPad right now but I do miss the immediacy of the CS.

Yeah, I agree they both rock. Thor is still one of my favorite all-time synths. I had to buy Reason 12 just to have it as a VST on my desktop setup.
