Nice one. I often wish I still had the family piano. I loved to improvise when nobody was home
Nice! This isn’t something I would typically listen to but there were some interesting parts for sure. Great work
It’s nice to hear some “melodic minor” where you use the major 6th going up and the minor 6th on the way down. Very reminiscent of JS Bach and his offspring.
Piano students would learn it but most of us don’t think of it.
It pays off by making the IV chord major going up and minor coming down. Nice lift and darkening. Ending on the 9th is a nice jazz touch. Good singers tend to do that too.
Awesome! Pure Piano sounds great here!
Thank you @Paulieworld @jdp000 @HotStrange. Much appreciated.
@McD is that what I did?
Me too! But ours didn't really sound that good, it was more about the refreshing experience of sitting down and just start playing.
Today I have my favorite weighted action MIDI keyboard and a collection of Kontakt piano libraries and I no more miss it.
Well you ve said it all….
lol @jo92346 @McD always manages to say it all. Thanks for listening, bro.
Those were great times, but the family Yamaha is in Florida now, and I’m stuck in Chicago.
Okay, you got your new axe… let’s hear some jams.
Go for it.
Lovely piece @LinearLineman !
More proof that it’s not about our pianos being sampled or modeled, but more about the music we create.
Thanks @Edward_Alexander so good to hear from you. Are you not posting these days or am I missing them? Hope all is well, bro.
Excellent, Mike. The Cello really adds something calming, wise and antique.
You haven’t missed anything. I’m still on my publishing hiatus, though I am still creating almost daily. But enough about me, how are you doing?
@Edward_Alexander all good here. New relationship going well. Making music, kind of. Cooking a lot of Indian food. The list of ailments progresses but I accept it all. Life has been and is good to me. I’m grateful.
I’m not good at these things but it sounded like some sort of tango going on in places… always great to have a new post from you Mike 🙏
Thx @GeoTony. The feeling is mutual.
