  • Good… another NS2 demo. We have so many great DAW’s to keep AUv3 creators busy testing for bugs.

Made an unlisted video with nanostudio 2 screen capture. Very simple piece.

“Very simple piece." Haha! I would never call this a simple piece. It’s perfect for a cold Sunday morning. While hot coffee warms the body, this piece warms the soul! 🤩

  • Thank you for exposing the NS2 video… there are screens available that make a lot of sense for visualizing like the spectrum view, the filter envelopes, etc.

  • @jo92346, it’s awesome!
Just listened some other songs from you. Stellar pieces.
Did you make all the songs in NS2?

Not sure I’d call it simple lol but it’s excellent regardless! The drums are awesome.

It is simple in the sense it’s only a few tracks, no fancy mixing, all is pretty straightforward, and the score is also really simple, no insane music theory tricks, no need for a prodigy to play it. It is sim0le from a writing point of view.

Yes, those screens are also in one way or another in the other daws, but the logic behind NS2 just clicks with me, everything is where and how it makes sense for it to be, even the routing, the midi learning is all like I would have done it if I was a dev. It is like they made that app specifically for me.

Yes, most of it was made in NS2. There are just some parts like the soundpaint sax or flute that I do on the mbp, export in audio and import in NS2. I don’t like working in logic anymore. I really prefer NS2.

    Thank you all for listening.

  • Great piece ! Things don't necessarily have to be complicated to be good. And sorry for the stupid comment on YT 😉

Thank you. Most are made in NS2.

  • Nice work. Listened to it a couple of times.

You demonstrate just how good NS2 is even though it's coming up to six years old and currently in maintenance mode. I'll say it again. Matt Borstel is a huge loss to the iOS music community.

  • Outstanding track. I like the mood change at 1:40, and then back at 3:16. Your title caught my eye. I’m currently working on something to help my wife get to sleep!

Cool .. it makes me always very glad to see when somebody is still using NS2 and especially when result is pretty good music 👍👍👍

  • Nice to see you chugging along, Joseph. Always high quality in every way.

  • “Simplex” (something I heard from a random music YouTuber the other day)

Yeah, music doesn’t always have to be complicated to be amazing. This is a fine example.

    Always love your work @jo92346

  • Simple, quiet, not at all showy or gimmicky… beautiful 🙏

  • Thank you all guys for listening and the kind comments.
