MTDAW issues post app update but on iOS 7.1.2
After its recent update MTDAW is showing up on 7.1.2 with Port unavailable in the output slot. If I start it in the input slot, then also in the output slot, then eject the input slot it seems to work. (I recall that fixed something else and thought I would try it for MTDAW too).
However, if I run Caustic (post Caustic update) into it, then add post-update AUFX:* and post-update Audioreverb, there is no sound into MTDAW. Eject MTDAW and the sound comes out of the speakers again. (And I did notice also that Audioreverb now starts muted too - I don't recall it doing that before).
Anyhow, NLogPro (after update) into the same chain - sound into MTDAW.
So, - not sure what's "at fault" here (not seeking to assign blame - just in discovery mode for help's sake). Seems to be at least MTDAW misbehaving, and possibly some strange interaction with Audioreverb and / or Caustic.
Anyone else confirm this?
This is on an iPad mini Retina 64GB with 7.1.2 (NOT iOS 8).

I notice this also with MTD on my iphone 5S running ios 8. MTD just sits there doing nothing. On my iPad Air running ios 7.1.2 I am having the same issues saying port not available .
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. We had forgotten to "go live" with MultiTrack DAW on the audiobus dev site for version 3.4.8. I just corrected the error, so within 30 minutes the 'port unavailable' issue should be resolved. Hopefully this fixes the monitoring issue as well, let me know if not. One thing to check is that 'input monitor' is enabled in the menu of multitrack.
Thanks @Hamilton for giving attention to that - however, checked 1.5 hours later. Still misbehaving :-/
Still showing port unavailable several hours later. :-/ @Hamilton
Thanks @MusicInclusive, this is some seriously good bug reporting. Michael has made some tweaks on the server side to fix this issue. Could you try one more time?
Ah! Seems to be OK now @Hamilton - no more port unavailable. Sorry I didn't get back earlier. Interestingly I don't get the >> >> >> connections moving when connected in a chain though.
Plus ... it seems that older apps (not yet AB SDK 2.1 compatible) appear now to only like working with MTDAW (and other AB SDK 2.1 / iOS 8 ready apps like Cubasis) on 7.1.2 with Airplane mode on, which I had understood to be only applicable to iOS 8 - but appears to be required as well on iOS 7.1.2 for the moment as well. Things in flux I guess...
IOS 7.1.2
iPad Air
for me MTDAW does not record anymore
on AB, it will connect but all I get is distorted sound
with IAA, it will not connect at all
I tried airplane mode/turn off WIFI....no change
I removed the app and reinstalled, no change
this was my go to DAW app....it was simple to use and (used to) work like a charm
my current workaround
record into beatmaker and copy tracks into MTDAW for WIFI transfer
Hi guys, please try reboots of your devices first, this seems to fix a lot of issues with IAA (which audiobus is using now). Always start audiobus first and use it to launch the other apps, also make sure you're working in a multitrack project that is setup for 44khz/16 bit or you may get distortions. If none of these things help the problem, feel free to contact me support at harmonicdog.com, and let me know the name of the apps that distort when recorded into multitrack.
@Hamilton everything is buggy at the moment even iOS 7 and those apps that have updated to iOS 8 .
Going a little bit off topic could you add a stand alone mixer to your app Please with FX slot and sends .
