I just asked the developer about this exact issue and awaiting an answer. Quantovox makes wonderful stuff. In my opinion, seriously underrated or overlooked. That is my favorite phaser. Ringotron is awesome. All the apps are high quality, useful, and affordable. Zoltan is the independent developer behind it. Not only is he brilliant, but also a genuinely nice guy who responds to customer issues/ fan mail. 👍👍
*thanks @ninobeatz . Now I see it
Thank you. It must have been a temporary glitch, it's working now.
"Designed to be an anthology app extensible with additional hardware-based or synthetic analog models in future"
@quantovox: Do you still have any plans for that? I ask because after a year there is still only one model available within the app.
+1
Hi filo01,
It would be tremendously helpful if more public participation would take place on this thread (also steering it back to on-topic from its current state would be great):
https://forum.loopypro.com/discussion/59005/your-favorite-hardware-phaser-emulated-on-ios-and-macos
There is an update that's scheduled for this year still that will bring MIDI Note on synced envelope mode and possibly an envelope follower mode, and some bugfixes for the preset browser.
But to answer your question, a big driving factor for modeling new phasers is the adoption rate of the app given how time consuming the current process is, though that might depend on the specific analog unit (and the process itself is being looked at if it could be redesigned from the ground-up). So far things are very far from ideal (the dirty word of the day shall be ROI), though additional models would presumably help that.
On the topic of adoption (or even awareness at this point) though, the incredibly tricky situation is that these venerable phasers are still very much in production (though they sometimes sound very different from their previous releases ), even some trademarks are live. And that means any promotion text or app description needs to be watered down to the point of being almost completely useless, and only visual clues or euphemistic or goofy name references (e.g. PuigTec) are possible, which at the end of the day will result in the app not getting connected to folks who really care about these modeled phasers, as it turns out.
There are two model-related items competing for consideration for the next major update. And then there are also lower priority items, which could be promoted to becoming the next update given public interest and feedback. So please leave a feedback on the above thread, or even drop an e-mail if that's what you prefer. Thanks to those who already contributed.
Cheers!
The bundle at moment is great value. Just got everything
I think Nembrini are doing quite okay with their sometimes odd names and always, the disclaimer at the bottom.
Guitar get what products they trying to imitate, maybe that's different for phazrs.
Anyway, as a user, I can only say that if you mention that you're going to add more phazers - any user here interested, who see that, do not forget and when time runs long (as it has) your words, well they thin out (I'm saying this with respect and the best of intentions).
@wim could the two pages (mentioned by Q just above) get merged?
Thank you for your explanation, @quantovox
Quantovox blew me away with Ringotron. I still hold Ringotron best 2024 AUfx. The presets alone are worth triple the price of that app- I won't ever hesitate on quantivox's offerings. I'm getting the bundle with real phase today.
Strange that you are the first to mention Ringotron here. I found pretty convincing video from Doug but that's all. I'm still hesitating between FAC Phaser and RealPhase. I like them both but need only one. Tough choice.
Not really strange, tbh, as this thread is for the phaser app which came out before Ringotron. I’ll second Ringotron as a great fx app.
By "here" I meant this forum in general, not this thread. I bought a Ringotron a little while ago, I'm happy and so is my guitar.
PS: Sorry for OT.
Ah, but there has been talk about Ringotron, there's a thread on it 🙏

I missed the surround effect on old Sony audio players; Spatializer does this and much more, get it.
Ringotron is one of the best bang for buck effects on iOS, quite unique.
RealPhase is maybe the best phaser on iOS.
The App Store seems pretty awful to brands like Quantovox and the like. By the time I found them, I realised how great the apps were that I had missed completely. I don’t make many tracks that don’t have at least a Spatializer in it. Only Realphase to get now!
OK, my last OT post here, I promise
Strange thing with this link, I didn't find anything with using Search:
No worries, it's not your fault, forum search has been unreliable since the name change, unfortunately!
yup, the best way to find stuff from here is going to google, writing down what you're searching for and just adding 'forum'

FAC Phazer is excellent, but it’s only available on iPadOS, not desktop. RealPhase is also excellent and it works on both mobile and macOS. That’s a winner for me.
And I own both.
The bundle is an incredible value. There’s not many AU effects that blow me away- quantavox has done it twice and is a constant reminder of their top quality offerings. Anytime I feel like my work needs a spark of life, real phase or Ringotron are my first to call up.
I mentioned before that I could do a full track just using the presets of Ringotron, real phase inspires that exact same level of inspiration for me, the presets are absolutely incredible and these two apps have been not only beautiful sonic tools, but they inspire. That’s hard to say in regard to an Effect-AU.
Even if you don’t think you need a ring modulator/phaser, I would highly recommend trying these out.
I’ve been using RealPhase preset “cold fusion” with sx1k’s “plastic organ” preset and it’s absolutely hypnotic. Like a siren’s trap, but instead of becoming a sex toy for fish demons, you are simply rewarded with a cleaner chakra via a positive frequency exchange. So I guess nothing like a sirens call.
In the right mental frequency, you can lose yourself in the syncopation phase delays and it begins to feel real spacey, allowing you to “play between the sounds”.
I very much agree with you, I intended using RealPhase to add depth to pad sounds, but some of the presets give it a rhythmical quality which is a great bonus.
