Lumbeat Drummer Apps on Mac M1

Wondering if anyone uses the the Lumbeat apps on Macs?
I have all the Lumbeat apps and they all work for me on my Mac Mini Mi1, even Ibassist, except Funk Drummer and Jazz Drummer.

Anyone else got these working on their Macs?

On my M1 MBP (OS12) Funk Drummer crashes on launch every time. But the others work.

[EDIT: UPDATE! Lumbeat did release a fix to get Funk Drummer to launch on my M1 MBP).

  • With the latest update, Jazz Drummer now work on Mac desktop!

  • Have you figured out how to get the Lumbeat apps to work in Logic Pro Mac OS? Trying to figure out how, haven’t found a solution, thanks so much.

That won't work (except for maybe iBassist). Lumbeat apps are IAA based and IAA isn't supported on Mac OS or even in Logic Pro iOS/iPadOS. The app would have to be an AUv3 in order to have any chance at all of working in Logic on either platform.

You can almost certainly get the audio into an audio track in Logic Pro using Blackhole, which lets you route audio to / from just about anything. The apps will be running separately from Logic Pro, however, they won't be running as plugins.

  • You can also easily export the audio or midi from the Lumbeat apps to use in your DAW.

There are a few audio routing apps/utilities for mac.

I use two, from Rogue Amoeba: Loopback, and Audio Hijack.

Loopback allows you to create virtual audio i/o devices. Audio Hijack just allows you to capture the audio from any app. The Lumbeat apps have pretty extensive MIDI routing options, based on devices within Core MIDI and the Audio MIDI Setup config. This includes the IAC driver.
