    Thank you!

I left one out… I used IVCS3 on the one dance oriented song on there 😂

That’s one of my personal favorites! If you haven’t yet, it’s pretty cool in an effects slot too.

Meant to say…there is one bonus cut!

Also , with this release I played everything ; my daughter and two of my other collaborators emailed and/or DM’d me the chords, and my co-producer and I would send the tracks back and forth to each other

Oh sweet! I’m thinking of doing a similar thing for a collab EP me and a friend who lives far away are trying to do.

Heading into work now but gonna check it out when I get off :)

Awesome possum! Hopefully it gets some love for Bandcamp Friday… I’m extremely proud of this album 🥹

  • Sadly, it got pretty much ignored…I think I’m going to concentrate on Spotify and just use Bandcamp as free storage. This was a bit disheartening

  • I liked this a lot; surprised me with it's baroque/classical elements. It has the good nature of Haydn in parts, etc. Good orch...I mean synthestration. wow - very prolific also; I guess you really can't stop. Or do you mean you just can't figure out endings 🤓

Sorry to hear that :( I’m having to work late tonight so haven’t even had a chance to check it out yet. I didn’t forget about ya though!

Sorry to hear that! I listened briefly to sections from a few tracks and thought the bits I listened to sounded very good! I personally don't really listen to music much these days, pretty much almost never actually, which is the main thing that explains why I didn't listen to all of it.

It's a tough market. So much 'content' (ughhh) out there. Spotify, Youtube etc paying peanuts, but many ppl also maybe not interested in 'buying' digital music any more either. It just feels very 2000s, to me, wanting to 'own' digital tracks or albums.

Are you able to get live gigs? That seems like one of the only ways for musicians who aren't very famous to make money from music these days. It's also a good opportunity to sell merch.

There's just soooo damn much stuff out there though. People need a really compelling reason to seek any particular stuff out, then to listen to it and pay for it, when they have basically immediate access for free to pretty much all music ever.

Good time to be a music lover, terrible time to be a musician.

  • Also, maybe change the page title to mention that you're posting your new album? I think that might make more ppl click, though this forum has never really been much of a place for creations. Ppl here are definitely more interested in apps than in listening to each other's stuff, mostly, although I think it's better to be a creator here than it was a few years ago, believe it or not!

Thank you! Several of us in the group were heavily influenced by game soundtracks, especially role playing games (my daughter Jaymie likely because she used to listen to the final fantasy 9 soundtrack as she slept as a small child). For this project I would communicate with my partners via email or DM, load the chords into GarageBand, play a basic track, then swap out the built-in instruments with au soft synths .

Since there are 6 of us including me, we generally have a lot of material….and I myself am quite prolific as I’ve heard music in my head constantly since I was 9, almost 24/7 (im 45 now)

Thank you for your kind words! I wasn’t upset that it didn’t get traffic here…it’s more elsewhere that I’m a bit upset about…I actually used social media more than I usually do and in previous years got a fair amount from Twitter, but this year, I got cobwebs.

I posted my Spotify Wrapped numbers as a comparison for a reason…a lot of people dog out Spotify in favor of Bandcamp, but considering we don’t do a lot of promotion, we’re not doing too badly at all there. And the fact that the people who do stream our stuff seem to be quite loyal actually makes me feel quite happy. But…I’ve noticed Bandcamp isn’t as popular as it used to be, and there’s been a shift since the last two ownership changes, especially the last one. BC themselves didn’t do their traditional Bandcamp Friday post where folks can post their links, and haven’t done so since the new owners took over. That…speaks volumes actually

I would love to do live gigs but as we work virtually that would be a bit tricky … our guitarist (who also plays bass and keyboards ) lives in Mexico, 4 of us in Texas ( including my estranged wife and daughter) , and one in Pennsylvania in fact we actually only have two traditional (albeit multi-instrument) musicians in the group….Dino (mentioned above) and my daughter Jaymie , but she’s 16 and in school. The rest of us have rudimentary instrument skills and rely on software (I used to play bass before my strokes and can play keyboard enough for studio work but only with my right hand ) . That said, we’ll find a way one day!

    No worries…you’re good dude!

  • Well Bandcamp Friday was a disaster but anyone who wants to buy this to support , instead just PayPal me at [email protected] and I’ll send you a free download code ( I forgot I had 100 codes to give way lol ) … that way I don’t have to worry about Bandcamp getting their 15% 😂

Will do. Money was a little tight this week so I’m waiting on pay day in a couple days, then I’ll be shooting you an email :)

    Awesome possum 😎

  • Just finished listening to the album, definite Switched on Bach, Snowflakes are Dancing influences… all good.
Particularly enjoyed Modular Love and WTF.
Your right to be proud of it 🙏

    Thank you!

WTF was done using Kroenecker and that lead patch was a happy accident

Modular Love was the first done using Tera Pro and the first half was done by my daughter earlier in the year using BLEASS Omega; I switched out the AU to Tera Pro and it just clicked. I had a song fragment I’d been working on for a few weeks and it just fit right in
