Audiobus iOS 8 compatibility issues.

I have purchased audiobus apps such as JamUp Pro XT and Amplitube for iPad and it works great. But then when I updated my devices to iOS 8 and tried on my apps, i received these messages: "Audiobus initialization problem. There was a problem setting up audiobus communication. Audiobus will be disabled."

Are all the audiobus apps incompatible with iOS 8 or am I just having problems with my apps?

  • Hi,
have a look at this automatically updated list.

    http://audiob.us/ios8

  • My apps weren't in the list. So i thinks it's a problem for the developers then to update their apps.

  • i upgraded to iso 8 last night same problem all my good synth apps wont load i just get a error what a PAIN... i just looked at the list only a few of my synths are on there i wish i hadnt updated my os

  • In my iPad mini Retina, I get that message. On my iPhone, the app crashes. WtH? They better fix it. I already sent an email to the developers regarding this problem. I received a response that they will look into it asap.

I'm upgrading my ipad now. Apps can catch up or get dropped. That's my take on it. I love the upgrade on my phone.

  • Sitting here at the end of the world (Bedfordshire) and thinking that it seems phone people seem to like the upgrade, but pad people not so much. Limbo seems like a good enough place for a while yet...

Ditto, it's been announced for awhile now. Too many apps to waste time on those that can't keep up. Shame, but there it is.

  • I am holding off a while on updating my iPAD Air , I did my iPhone 5S and to me AudioBus has it's own fare share of problems with iOS 8.

... and I would have to stop working with music creation on an iPad @boone51 , @Tarekith - because the apps I rely on using are not yet ported to iOS 8 - The several iPads I use for music creation would become expensive eReaders or place mats.

  • If you really need to use your apps read this. http://osxdaily.com/2014/09/21/downgrade-ios-8-back-to-ios-7-1-2/ You can go back to 7.12 until developers update their apps.

  • Not on 8 @stroonz58 - still on 7.1.2 on all iDevices. :-)
