This was just a creation I wanted to add but never did. It was done with boss drum machine and Roland DAW hardware from 2000. * excuse me, obviously the guitars and bass are played by me, I meant drums are digital . Else analog….For all my friends who wanted to see my ability, (except my good buddy gravitas who is only one who heard this), this is why I am worthy of a picket calculator in my humble opinion … this goes out to @jwmmakerofmusic , my good friend, thanks for your kindness
(If I can run this through brusfri for ground hum, or if DMfan wants to remix I, let’s talk!)

That...was...incredible! 😳 You really kick ass on a guitar mate. Overall top production.
Once I resume work on my "2005" EP, I'll hit you up for an 8-bar guitar solo on "Laureen". (I'll explain more in PMs.)
Now if you find you have a hard time building electronic music tracks in an OP-1 Field, you can still use it for synth sounds in your Metal productions. Rammstein made use of synths in their works.
Thank you !!!!! Yes rammstein and rob zombie are who I have been listening to intently for the last couple of months trying to figure out how to integrate
Thank you!!
Yeah! This reminds me of a band I played in back in the 80s. Straight up rock. Once the music started, I didn’t hear the hum. That drum machine sounds very much like a real drummer. Thanks for posting and the memories.
Thanks dude. I had some help with making the drums so well programmed to be quite honest. This was 2002 so it was very hard to do for me. I used to have so many ideas. Now I’m blocked (and I know my field will fix all that and make me a perfecto musician ) glad it brought back some metal memories dude
Anyone else into metal or rock that is moving toward digital and electronic music ?
This is great @Paulieworld! Nice work. Your guitar and bass playing is fantastic. And I can just image how hard programming that drum machine must have been back then.
I’ve played a little bit of guitar and keyboard for many years off and on but I’ve been out of practice. I can’t read music and it’s been all self-taught. But I do have a good ear and can figure out how to play things by ear.
Electronic music allows me to create things using the little bit of knowledge I have, plus my crazy passion for sound and music, and without the need to be good at playing any instrument.
Well I guess I do actually play one instrument really well. It’s called an iPad. 😉
Actually, full credit goes to @dreamcartel for the music. I just dug the hell out of it. It brought back so many memories of jamming in the basement. Roll a few doobies and crank that Marshall. We never got paid… in dollars, but the memories are golden. I agree, a little knowledge is dangerous. Live dangerously my friend. The clock is ticking.
Well its not in the “it sucks” range at all. Darn good I’d say. Glad you’ve worked things out with those involved.
Best of luck if you go for the OP-field. If you don’t get it there’s nothing keeping you from moving forward with the skills you have.
What I said @dreamcartel!
I agree 💯 ! Dream's musical talents definitely lie in raw live performance! If Dream can't get an OP-1 Field, he's got the chops to continue forward with what he has.
That said if Dream can get an OP-1 Field, he can integrate the OP-1 Field into his guitar works if he's unable to produce electronic music. It also has a nice keyboard to muck about with. Definitely a dream machine for me. Been programming notes in DAWs most of my whole life, but lately have been getting more into live performance. The only live performance I'm good at currently is piano and singing. Only live production I'm good at is Ambient currently, lol. I feel the Field can help me vastly expand my live production skills as well as improve performance to a small degree.
And if not, I can still use it to plot out melodies and chords to notate as a sort of dictaphone. But I think it'll suit me for far more than just that.
Thanks so much @reezygle I was intrigued by electronic music for a similar reason, I couldn’t produce tracks without help so I sort of gave up for a long time( dRambo was my re entry into writing and then I ended up here )
@audiblevideo thanks dude, I told you guys, I was fairly sure I wasn’t that bad man lol
and @jwmmakerofmusic ofc thanks as always for listening to my music and for the kind words. You and me will rock out on the op1 together (and collabo one day )
Yes for sure mate.
Two questions
How should I remove that hum . I have brusfri and I used it once but I can’t get it to work now. Should I find a longer segment of silence?
And since it’s all live guitar and bass, will grand finale be good to master ? Like how do you “remaster” a track? I guess is my question, without making the level db too high ?
About brusfri, yes, you need to press ‘learn’ for at least 1 second over a part of the sound where there is just the noise you want removed (ie no guitar etc, only the hum). Then play around with other settings as /if necessary.
Nice guitar playing - especially when it kicks back in at around the 3 minute mark! Drums sound good as well.
Thanks a lot man!
@Gavinski thank you. I used the end and it seemed to work, I had to drop the “amount” but that’s what did it.
I guess I’ll just use grand finale and lower the master track level , or throw barricade on after at the end for limiting ?
Ok so I used Brusfri and it removed the hum beautifully ! Then I used GF2 and let me tell you it sounds so much better! Klevgrand is the best mixing and mastering stuff you can find; and I highly recommend his mixing and mastering tools. I hear the instruments are on FAC level (meaning super high). In fact when I think of FX I think Klevgrand (first), Toneboosters and FAC. (Bleass is great too as is Fabfilter but FF IS way too expensive for me, and TB is just as good in my humble opinion; and ofc sugarbytes for special things too)
I realize no one asked or perhaps cares but I just wanted to say between Klevgrand and TB, you could mix and master like a professional.
I wish you could update tracks on SoundCloud instead of deleting them: but I don’t see a reupload or edit ..otherwise I would post the remastered version
Anyway thanks for the listens , anyone who didn’t say anything what do you think? ( shout out to my top influential producers who might have missed my song @LinearLineman or @echoopera , i would love to know if you think it’s not bad or whatever, and if you didn’t like it that’s fine too, but I didn’t want to miss your opinion on it if you have 3.45 minutes )
That was super. Especially around 1:10 and again at 3:00. Excellent guitarism. I’d like to hear the bass more (or is that just the bass drum?) Anyway, that could be a lot louder, IMHO, but still great fun.
Thank you man! Yes, the bass is super low, I mean super low. At the time I had a lot of difficulty with EQ and mixing. What I’m going to do is upload my remaster so I can fix some of the frequencies in the original. Thanks again dude! Means a lot coming from you.
I look forward to hearing your remaster!
Just wanted to say that this is incredible! Thanks for sharing. Just listened to this a few times. Really enjoyed it. Cheers.
Thank you... here it is:
Im not sure how well I did, or how much better I could've done with the tools, but I think it sounds better. Please let me know what you think man!
THANK YOU!!! that's the nicest compliment I've gotten on my music in a long time! hope the remaster is enjoyable too
No problem! Thanks for sharing. That’s the issue I always have is, just putting creative works out there. It’s a very vulnerable thing to do. I commend that ability to do so. Plus it’s actually good!
The remaster sounds good! I don’t have the best headphones at work so I couldn’t listen to hear how it’s balanced and such.
What inspirations is this drawn from musically? I’m in my 30s so it sounds like some later Circa Survive to me and I’m sure I’m just not aware of the references they drew from.
My influences are speed, thrash, and death but there was no “direct influence” that made my “arabesque fusion” metal besides my ethnic background. I actually don’t know the band you mentioned (yet).
I created that “genre” or sound simply by combining my love of metal with my family’s traditional Arabic musical background that flavor all of my music. I used to just call it Arabic metal but as my music started to expand I just used “arabesque fusion”
So yeah, that was just me raw as a kid. Thank you
They're a band all my friends in high school liked and I didn't listen to a ton until later when I was drinking years ago lol - They're okay. I'm a millenial so I grew up in peak EMO genre times haha.
Apologies, didn't mean to make it seem as though it was directly inspired from a specific influence. I should have worded that better.
This is all super cool. It's interesting to learn about your style. Thanks for sharing!
No need for any apologies dude. You were just asking a legit question. I hope it didn’t comeacross as impatient, I just meant no one inspired me to create arabesque fusion, it was a natural offshoot of playing metal listening to Arabic music (and classical) in the background in the womb lol
In fact I think in light of everything going on, I’m going to let my creations and general input climax and plateau here for a little while. If I get an op1f I’ll be sure to post back and share creations and reviews.
Thanks for listening
Not at all! You’re good. I was annoyed with myself for an assumption attached to a question. It’s all a learning a process yanno lol.
Let me know when you do!
Great track, great playing, the break at 3:00 onwards in fantastic, back to the drawing board for me but 10 out of 10 for you 😊
Aww shucks! a 10 out of 10 is tooo awesome , but I will humbly accept it with extreme gratitude and appreciation , especially coming from a high quality producer like you Tony. Well, I definitely will have a pep in my step today. Thank you again kind sir.
This rocks, and I intend to bump it at high volume in the vehicle shortly
Thanks dude!!! That is how it is meant to be played! HIGH VELOCITY!!!
