[New app] Vocal Cleaner: WA Production enters iOS
$3.99 US
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/vocal-cleaner/id6446486232
Have not seen anything about this app. WA Production do a lot for desktop. I hope this means that more apps are coming. They seems to have some fun plugins for desktop.
Clean up your vocals and achieve a studio-quality sound with Vocal Cleaner. Say goodbye to imperfections and easily eliminate noise with live VU meter feedback.
De-noise, de-ess, noise gate, high and low pass filters…seems cool. Anyone want to try it?

Welcome WA Production..
IOS InstaComposer, Please...
Ah cool to see them coming to iOS. I might have some vocal work on my next project so may pick this up then but not right away. Looks good though.
It’s been out for a bit but I never saw any announcements about it or reviews so I never tried it. They do make decent desktop stuff so it’s not a bad price for it
Nice! Instacomposer would be fab.
I've tried it on my guitar instead of Brusfri and it does a pretty good job after a bit of tuning the values in. A bit like Fabs Pro-G. But, for this particular case (guitar), Brusfri is the shit. I can't try it on vocals now (apartment, nighttime) but will later.
Now What About, W.A., can half-ass it on iOS like they do on every other platform.
Very interesting. Wonder if there’s any plans for that? Is it essentially generating tracks from chord progressions? Like Beatly Pro and Songen?
Yep... Pretty nice stuff.
This looks interesting. Can’t tell from the AppStore image as it’s rather vague but it looks like there’s no controls on main screen only what seems like a small jog wheel for “advanced”. So I’m guessing this has some sort of AI algorithm?. I’m very ok with that as specially de-essers are a big mistery to me, I never know where my range lies.
Ha same here. That’s partly why I’m interested. It looks like a few of this devs apps use AI (I think?) so that would make sense.
You’re also a big ESSer dude, eh?. 🙋🏻♂️😂
I hate myself when I’m trying to fix my own recordings and making me waste my own time!. Then I sometimes overdo it and I end up sounding like I’ve got a lisp or some speech disorder!. GIVE ME AI.
Haha I don’t do vocal stuff often. Mostly because I can’t sing but an app like this will be great for the times I do want to put my weird Nick-cave-but-worse-spoken-word vocals on a track.
Good de-easer for iOS ? Heck yeah I bought it ! $3.99 .. no brained
There's just threshold and amount, and a small selector for B/N/D which stands for bright, natural or dark. Global LP or HP, mix and output. Finally a presence feature. Probably no AI involved.
I just got Brusfri and espresso ! This does all of it? How did it turn out Telstar? Did you compare the noise removal at all? Just curious if you did or if you noticed difference in quality?
Doesn’t seem like AI, looks like maybe a spectral separation of harmonic and non-harmonic content. They say algorithm in the description though.
Here is a straightforward photo of the interface of the desktop version that is easier to see/read. It seems to be the same as the iOS version, but I don’t see the bright neutral dark option, only low pass hi pass.
Edit: I see it in the 3 amount knobs for the 3 stages. There’s a circle with a B/N/D inside it.
Q to somebody who own Brusfri and Vocal cleaner:
Brusfri adds latency but result is interesting and usable , how can you describe denoising by Vocal Cleaneri n comapre?
I’m curious as well
Haven’t tried it yet . Just bought it
Anyone try this app? I’m curious if it’s worth $4
Same…?
Curious as well. I don’t need it right away but will be adding some spoken vocals over a track eventually.
I’ve thought about it. For now, Brusfri is more than enough for me. Especially since I can record, apply, then bounce the audio out. No worries about latency.
Wow, thanks for this demo. It illuminated a lot of questions. Now I kind of want it haha
Thanks for this!! Super detailed. Seems pretty robust for being so feature filled. That EDM preset sounded pretty nice. Cheers! Thank you again.
Would you recommend it for the average at home untreated for sound room vocalist?
Facts lol.
Check out this post from @eylvy - just shouting you guys out as I were both curious.
Thanks! Gonna watch this later tonight.
Here I'm using a simple usb mic and it's mostly talking, before the last part with the clean vocals. You could get the new MicSwap app before this app and expand the variety of dry vocal capabilities. When I'll cover MS, I'll do that.
This app is very affordable for iOS, especially for quick vocal cleaning purposes. For de-noising I'd use Brusfy.
