Yes, you were very helpful, because that “metalic” sound is probably because of the frequency shift and resonance. I already know that, it’s advertised on the product. If you know what you want, they are asking for too much of your time and effort to choose appropriate ranges and tame the final output. That's why they are mostly good for experimental work, which is fine and exciting. Unfortunately, it’s not what I'm looking for at the moment.
Sorry but you don’t understand what I write , a serious demo need days of testing an apps and using it for its own production to understand what it bring but the videos can be 30 minutes or 1 hour but the days using the app make the difference rather than to spend one hour with an app and do a bad use of it in AUM because you don’t know it.
Agreed. And that is why more devs should be sponsoring videos, because the tiny amount of money from youtube ad revenue, in this tiny niche, does not really incentivize youtubers to make very detailed videos on hard-to-learn apps. But yes, such videos are necessary for complex apps.
For example, I would really like to watch Gavinski's deepest dive on the MagicPitch! 🤩
Gotcha. Yes I agree with that. It’s surprising to me more developers don’t either or their own demos or reach out and ask guys like @thesoundtestroom and @Gavinski to do it (if they’re willing). Or any of the other big players. I know a decent amount do but there are a handful of amazing apps and developers that have very few demos out there. Like VaPoly16 for example.
Sounds good to me, already looking into options here
@Luxthor Just turn the FX amount down to tame everything at once using one knob
I will buy one of the Magics for sure, I just shortened up my list of choices by one. Keep up the good work and prices low. 🤩
Some details about development of audio software not always obvious to artists:
Development of the algorithms can take years to get them to a professional level. This is mostly what you are paying for. You won’t notice this work because that’s what’s hard Spectral effects especially are notoriously difficult to get to sound good (but so so worth it) and the years of research and development are reflected in the prices. Just go and see what a basic mass produced guitar pedal costs which will be based on decades old designs that haven’t changed. Even the most expensive high quality effects these days are amazingly cheap considering the work involved. They will not exist at all at a lower price.
Having shared UI design means a lower learning curve for the user leaving them to get on with sound design and improvements can be regularly released in new versions. Ask yourself how many updates your plugins got and compare the first version with the latest.
Not all plugins are just drop in and go wow with a single knob. Some require at least a little learning and once you put in that time you will do things nobody else can.
Very good points even if an apps or plugin doesn’t click with you or your way always I will tell like you that DS DSP is a serious dev at a high level and I respect him. I want to say that I don’t agree now with the word overpriced I wrote as it is normal that a dev make a living on iOS when you find so many abandonware at 0,99 usd apps.
I use Magic Delay all of the time. It’s deep, it sounds great, interesting side chain triggering is very cool/useful. I like the others as well, especially M@gic Blur and Magic Pitch. Yeah - I don’t get the hate, but these take a bit more commitment to get the best results.
i don't see "hate" anywhere, just different opinions.
oh, i forgot iam also a antisemitic when i criticise the government of israel.
what a monkeyworld.
Ok, sorry. I should have said “strong disaffection”. Anyway, I don’t understand this “strong disaffection”, as I find these plugins very useful, but they are more complex than most delays and reverbs.
anyway, iam excited what they bring next.
maybe its something i have use for.
Fuzz pedal? Probably low price too. That’s my guess lol
Also @gsdsp made two midi controller apps that I believe are free to download. So I believe a lot of thought goes into pricing their apps.
That would be sick! I’m a sucker for a good distortion. I love all their apps personally but I’ve spent the least amount of time with the modulation apps but I’ve been slowly diving into those more too.
Blur/Delay/Pitch end up being on at least half my projects.
@animalelder MMM & MMMm are both free, yes! Btw there is a big update coming for those too, for all our plugins actually!
Thanks, @gsdsp, your plugins are sick . They sound great and look cool. For all sorts of fun modulation, I enjoy them every time and am excited for the next one.
Fantastic! Looking forward to it
Released!

Super nice delay - and BY NO MEANS AN AVERAGE ONE
I played around with both GSDSP delays in Ableton and must say, i like this one more than the spectral one.
From their magic line I found Blur most interesting
