iPhone Music Player With Chromecast?
Hey Team
Anyone know of an iOS music player that has Chromecast functionality built in? Something like Spotify’s implementation but with local files (Spotify does allow local file access however Chromecast only works with streams). My multi room speaker setup in the house is Chromecast based and it’s a drag not being able to easily cast to these, particularly with works in progresses and draft mixes etc.
TIA!

Probably VLC.
Never tried it though.
Neutron Player has Chromecast support and plays local files (though you have to load them into its own folder). It's got a bit of a weird interface but it's a powerful player. https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/neutron-music-player/id766858884
Does the Chrome browser work? I haven’t had it installed for some time, but I think it can play local files and mirror to a Chromecast.
Yes, it’s very powerful and deep. I agree that Neutron is pretty good for a paid music player. They have an android version as well that also works very well.
Didn’t think of VLC, thanks! Gave it a try and it does work sort of however it’s super clunky in regards to its chromecast implementation unfortunately. At least it’s a free option.
Neutron! I used to use this as my go to when I had Android phones but I didn’t think of it on iOS. This will be the go I reckon. Just need to wait for the next half price sale (seems to happen every few months according to Applsliced.
Thanks so much for the recs.
