Beautiful work. Wonderful strings. Very cinematic . It has a build up quality , suspenseful but doesn’t leave you on the edge of your seat. I can see this used in a score of the opening of a Victorian murder, or like some English countryside mystery of some kind…(and I heard that little finisher, I liked the ending where it sounded like a Volca waveguide tweak).

Well balanced, it keeps the suspenseful atmosphere even when the rhythm drops.

Great song and thanks for the reply to my idea, I appreciate your work and quick action as I look forwards to your work now

See guys :) Klownshed got a new fan just by sharing his love for music…(isn’t that nicer than arguing about Tim rice who doesn’t know we exist? lol)

Ok. Now back to my vow of silence

    Thank you :)

I’m missing the Brandenberg quote reference though. is that a Regan “tear down this wall” reference? I’m feeling a bit dumb ;-)

  • lol, no a Bach concerto. At 0:34.

 Yes I totally got it, but laughed even harder for thinking it was reference to Berlin or anything lol

LL is a serious pianist, probably some classical training? (Did you study with a teacher or self taught btw, and lmk if you thought the GF2 was worth it in SOTMC when you can)

With his amazing keyboard i feel so silly for not knowing he had now , so I agree , thats why i also liked it, Bach would’ve liked it too im sure.

Guys, if you haven’t heard, perhaps the most soaring Concertos are the Brandenburg #3 and #5 especially
Please have a listen if you haven’t heard it. Everyone here should know Bach, and those are my favorite pieces actually
    Goood call LL!

@klownshed what midi keyboard are you using? [and what DAW]

  • @klownshed didn’t mean to sound like I was joshing you. It was a compliment. You channeled the master!

  • Please dont misunderstand my laughter. I was agreeing with LinearLineman in that Bach was what came up. I was laughing at the “Reagan tear down the wall”….I wasn’t making fun of anoyone and i was

    +1 LL’s compliment

  • Oh dear. I feel extra stupid now LOL

I will have to check that Bach stuff out. Maybe try the new Apple Classical app. It was unintentional plagiarism ;-) Don't tell that Bach dude/dudette...

Logic on the Mac is my DAW of choice and has been ever since before it was a DAW.

As for keyboard, I have a few. If I'm noodling about at home I tend to use one of those little Korg not-a-real-keyboard things. Or my old springy Novation XioSynth.

(Novation really need to make an updated controller with built in class compliant audio interface... My XioSynth is still just about hanging on but look like it's been run over! I used to use it for gigs both as the audio interface, Bass guitar input and for keyboard parts -- It's perfect for iPad use. It's battery or bus powered, has built in audio and midi interface and also a built in synth)

I have a few keyboards I bought decades ago (Ensoniq EPS 16 Plus, Korg Prophecy+Z1) which I sometimes use as a controller if I have the time and space (which unfortunately I never get at home) and also a Roland JD-Xi which is a pretty cool little scratchpad and has 37 very bad mini keys (and built in audio interface, vocoder, 2 x digi synths an analogue mono synth and a drum machine! It's a lot of fun). That would also be almost perfect for iPad if it was class compliant. A JD-Xi 2 with battery power and class compliant audio interface would be my perfect iPad controller.

But usually I'm stuck with no more than 25 keys to play with. If I'm using my iPad the Novation is my controller of choice as it has built in audio so I can plug my headphones into the XioSynth and it's bus powered.

No offence taken. I laughed too!

And thanks for the compliments... Very much appreciated. Glad you like the tune :-)

  • Very cool. Big and powerful! I especially liked the mood change near the end. Great track!

  • I was going to say I made a video — but I just clicked a preset in VS — but anyway, first attempt at putting a song on YouTube. :-)
