Let's petition Softube to release their Model 82/84/80 to iOS

edited December 2023 in General App Discussion

Just fired off an email to their support requesting they port these fantastic soft synths over to AUv3.

I own all three on desktop and IMO they are all stellar. The 84 specifically is the best Juno recreation I've ever heard since owning the real thing 20 years ago.

The recent discussion here about there not being a good SH-101 synth available on iOS got me thinking that their 82 would be great to have on iOS as well. And while I'm not a huge fan of the Prophet sound (sacrilege I know), I'm sure others would want the 80 too.

After messaging them on their support page, I got a response back saying they'll pass on the feedback to their product team for discussion. Maybe we can get some momentum going to get them to seriously consider it?

For the record--I'm not affiliated with them in any way--just someone who's moving to an iPad-based live rig for an upcoming project and would really like to see some of my favorite soft synths make it over. (Though I keep discovering so many great synths already here, clearly this space has evolved a since I last dug into music creation on iOS!)

  • I’ll shoot them an email too. A 101 on iOS would be fantastic.
