new app beta

Hello!

I've been making a new app for a while and now i'm interested in more testing so welcome check it out if it may be useful for your studio / performance setup

This one is an hybrid spectral / lo-fi / delay effect
https://testflight.apple.com/join/tSjoUpc1

Note for the hardware: after some optimizations this app is still cpu hungry so any modern device is strongly recommended

thanks!

    It is.

  • Been on the beta for a while and it's a very interesting and unique effect...

Agreed. As with all of his, lots of potential for destroying and mangling sounds.

  • Cheers, I’ll give it a go.

There's a bug in the current beta which will be sorted soon - I'd suggest waiting till the next version is out (1.0.0 (10)) before installing otherwise you won't get the best experience!

  • Looks like my device isn’t modern enough 😀. It’s an Air 4 that usually easily handles anything I can throw at it - but look at this.

I have an 2022 Air 5 with an M1 chip and it’s the same for me.

Possibly worth reporting to Alex but it's definitely an app that pushes an ipad. It would be good for him to have feedback from users of different devices.

I have spoken to him about it multiple times. I think he’s trying to optimize it as much as possible but I’m not sure it will ever not be a CPU hog. May be one of those apps where you have to freeze the track. Or use it to process audio and then sample or record/export that stem separately.

    Hello!

Yes, unfortunately it is a very cpu-consuming, though it worked like ~50% DSP on older iPad 6; So, this still looks to me as a kind of bug, i'll try to figure that out.

There is also "mono" mode that may help if that fits the process

    Thanks!

Thanks! Besides that it’s great and has been really stable for me so far.
