Projects between standalone and AUv3
I am not seeing projects created in the standalone appearing in the AUv3 version. Is there a way to get projects between versions?
Comments
You would think this should be possible.
The AUv3 version ignores plugins in AUM and only allows its own limited palette of effects. I do believe Loopy lives in its own universe. Too bad. I love this app.
The AUv3 can only see the projects that are in the Audio Unit Extension Folder (which is only visible in Loopy Pro’s project manager due to the way AU sandboxing works)
Use the standalone’s project browser to move projects into the the Audio Unit Extension Folder.

Thanks!
The rule here is that an AUv3 plugin cannot also serve as an AUv3 host. This is true for any app with hosting capability, Loopy Pro, Drambo, miRack, etc. When they are loaded as an AUv3 in AUM, they cannot load AUv3 plugins. This is Apple's rule, not related to any specific app.
Unless you are using multi-in/out AUv3, you might want to use Loopy Pro as your host. You could also run them in parallel and load AUM in Loopy.
As @uncledave explained, no AUv3 can load another AUv3.
