Microphone check

I’ve started on the vocal processing chain in dRambo.

  • What are you using in your chain?

It’s dry for the time being except for the compression
I use for the hardware synths and modular.
However I did play around with a touch of reverb and buffered delays
    whilst recording the microphone check.
The reverb and delay are dRambo modules.

That mic sounds pretty good. You mind me asking what mic it is? I have a Shure sm48 that I got for stupid cheap at guitar center years ago but am thinking about updating.

The mic was actually really cheap.
    It's an Alctron MC410 microphone which I purchased for £25 from DV247.com

DV247 rebadged it to "FAME", which is their own brand of audio gear.
The price has gone up but not by that much.

    No probs.

  • Cool man. We gonna hear some rap ? Or what do you have in mind?

(BTW did anyone see the coolest mic I saw for vocals, its the TULA mic? I think it even has its own interface. It is a noice reduction Brusfri from Klevgrand built into the firmware. Anyway)

  • Getting ready for Björk’s guest shot on your next track?

    I don't rap.

    I sing.
