Highest note priority in AUM?
Hi folks, I'm trying to create a mono synth with highest note priority in AUM to double a part I want to play live. Basically, I want to be playing octaves on a piano patch, with a synth doubling the highest note. Has anyone ever come across a midi processor in AUM that can do this? I've been a pretty heavy user for a while now, but I can't find a way to do this! Even Drambo doesn't seem to have it, which kind of blows my mind. Am I missing something obvious or is this really that hard to accomplish?

Would a keyboard split be enough? Is there a point on the keyboard where you could reliably know the bass lines won't go above and the top notes won't go below? If so then AUM has the tool you need built in.
I wonder if a Mozaic script could double the MIDI input note and pitch it up an octave while sending both notes on separate MIDI channels?
If that isn't enough then there's Polythemus AU set to one voice with Keep Highest voice allocation mode seems like it might work for you.
There's also this mozaic script, though I haven't tried it myself: https://patchstorage.com/mononotepriority/
But if you can get by with just a keyboard split, that might be more reliable.
I started with a keyboard split, but the lead I need to do spans a pretty wide range and breaks any split point I could make unfortunately. Polyphemus seems promising, but that mosaic script seems like the one that would definitely do it. I've stayed away from mosaic because it looks like a LOT haha, but maybe it's finally time.
Mozaic doesn't have to be intimidating. You can stick entirely with pre - written scripts if you don't want to do any coding. There's a list of available scripts on the Audiobus Wiki. If enough look like they'd be useful to you then Mozaic might be worth looking at.
I felt the same but now I use it all the time. Bram made it super easy to just copy and paste the user code to make presets. You don’t have to code at all. I haven’t and just rely on the generosity of all the talented people here.
