Do not update Auria pro on M2 12.9 iPad Pro!

I did the beta test for Auria Pro on a 2020 12.9 iPad Pro, and installed todays update, it worked fine, so I figured it should be fine on my M2 12.9 iPad Pro..
Boy was wrong!
It does not have the ‘ screen optimization for iPad Pro’ option and horizontally the bottom half of the screen is blank!

  • You will be safe with your 12.9, it’s safe up to the fourth generation so far! But I don’t see anything that’s fixed, Only destroyed? I would stay where you’re at who knows what will come up?

  • @dirge59 ….so tell us about this Beta …. Please?

It’s not a beta anymore, it is what was released today! And it totally screwed up my whole studio. I did the beta on the 2020 12.9 iPad Pro and I thought after it passed all the flying colors, I did today’s update, and then, when I installed it on my M2 iPad you no longer have iPad Pro optimization, as an option, And it is totally screwed! There are also other problems I’ve been hearing about from other people on other iPads. There was just a day and half of the beta, they made no announcement on their forum, and then they just released it destroying a lot of people systems!

  • The previous update was like June 2022, I have four iPad devices, including the latest and greatest, but did you notice the last upgrade from June 20, 2022 doesn’t even allow you to use the midi pads, however, the keyboards work, I personally don’t do midi, but he can’t even fix his own internal shit!

  • For what it’s worth, the update seems ok on a 2018 ipad. The midi drum pads still don’t work, although you can record from the pads in Lyra. I was getting the odd stuck note on the keyboard with the lasr update, but that appears to be fixed, anyway.

  • Is Auria still being developed? I was never able to get a hold of the developer the last time I tried to send them a bug report.

it is in maintenance mode and the developer is very disengaged and rarely responds to email or messages on his forum.

That's a shame. :'( Auria is still a very impressive DAW even till this day. Building DAWs for iOS must be a tough business considering how many of them are in this half dead zombie state.

  • I just re-downloaded Auria pro after deleting it a year ago and it is working pretty well on my humble Air 4. The mixer is still a bit too wide to put effects into the master track without turning off the cpu meter and squeezing over to touch the edge of the fx button. But it can be done.
I used to be a Go-To DAW person, but after realizing how much I still love Auria, I’m just keeping and using a bunch of DAWs now and going through them all like a drunken sancho.

  • The update works fine on M1 Pro 11”

Same here, works fine on my 12.9" M1 Pro. iPad Pro optimization is available in the settings, and does work.

I decided to see if Auria Pro is still usable. I’d deleted it some time ago, so I had to install fresh. Mine is Auria that was upgraded to Pro originally. I have to install plain Auria first, then restore my Pro purchase.

Now it’s not using the whole screen for audio tracks and channels screen doesn’t fill the bottom on my iPad Pro 11in m2.

Already tried the retina resolution setting in Auria settings with no change. I don't have a "optimize for iPad Pro" setting either.

Is this a known issue with an easy fix? Or, has Auria basically been abandoned now and a waste of time to try and troubleshoot?
