Make a wavestate in aum, apematrix, etc
Given everyone here probably has > 100+ auv3 apps, what would be the most direct way you could create a wavestate-like system?
Im asking because I have both im1 and iwavestation and neither integrates well with anything. And i honestly dont know how to create a similar system..
Comments
The Wavestate heavily relies on a solid library of samples and a wave sequencing system that is powerful and flexible enough.
I would build it inside Drambo if I ever had to sell my Wavestate 😉
Like with a bunch of flexi samplers?
You'll need the Sampler too in order to have the multi-sampled instruments.
I'd suggest sampling from the Wavestate directly into Sampler using the "Piano key to record" function.
I'd only use Flexi if I wanted to go further and add full control over each insividual sample in a wave sequence (like start/end point adjustment, reverse playback, wild pitch control for each sample individually) - which might be a little over the top, looking at how much fun wave sequencing already is as-is 😊
Cool! Thanks for the tip!
So are you wanting something like iWavestation in AUv3 format? EvolverFX from 4Pockets is kinda going for something similar.
Yes i also have this and am trying to learn it. Looks so completely different than iwavestation, taking time to adjust
Definitely a totally different workflow. I still haven’t quite wrapped my head around or spent enough time with either but it seems really powerful lol. I prefer iwavestation and iM1 by far tbh, I just wish they were AUs.
While some of the functionality may there, I tend to spend more time with apps that are esthetically pleasing and larger navigational surface.
Naive question: Is Tera Pro with WAVES IAP a contender?
I seriously dont know enough about how wavestation works. I think its like setting up some splits or layers on the keyboard, then assigning each section a set of sample loops to trigger. The loops can have many timing dynamics.
So I was thinking about multiple drum machines to trigger the samples across the keyboard layers.
I dont know if that’s simplifying it or completely wrong.
The drum loops would trigger any sample or synth i guess.
Have a look at 4 pockets evolver. That’s the most direct way.
