Interesting, but is it only the room simulator they're porting, and not the actual string sections themselves?

  • I already have a room. But interested if they port the minor sections component of this app

The room sim and the string sections are both coming to iPad

Nice! Wonder if they will do open betas as they did with the solo instrument apps

  • Damn, the only apps I still want (plus horn sections, of course). I hope this doesn’t mean I’ll have to spend $1500 on an M1 Pro.

I think you could have a lot of fun with a SWAM harmonica.

    On the one hand, hurray!

On the other, this ruins the already set plan I had for which instrument to buy during the next sale after struggling with the decision this cyber week. 😀

  • I Will very likely get those for the same reason I got plenty of their solo instruments: the amazing array of articulations available and infinite sound variations you can get from those.
That being said, the demos for the string sections I heard so far didn't fully convinced me in terms of realism... It seems that just like the solo apps, one has to put a lot of work on parameters tweaking to get something sounding close to the real thing. Any roadmap for the iOS release ?

I’ve mailed them to ask if there are any betas available. When I get a response I will let you know.

They are worth it! Work great on compatible iPad devices.

Haha, I’m sorry I spoiled it for you! I’m curious when they have the next sale, though. They tend to have multiple sales periods around the year.

As far as the iOS release goes, they (Audio Modeling) are working things out to make it possible. But you need a powerful iPad.

Got a mail back from Audio Modeling. They said it’s too soon for a beta at this moment. They put my name and email on a list so that they can contact me if they eventually have a beta running. My advice is to send them an email via the support section on their website. You can ask if they can also add you to future participants for the beta.

Looking at appsliced, it looks like July may be the best bet for when the next sale happens.
