(Sorted) Pre determined loop length recorder

Looking for an ios app that I can record audio in an AUM fx slot. I need to be able to set a predetermined length in bars, with the recording starting in sync with AUM.

Having hundreds of apps, I must have something I would have thought, but for the life of me I can't find anything that does this.

Thanks for any suggestions.

  • Loopy Pro is great and so easy for this but maybe more than you need

  • Loopy Pro is the perfect app for that (and a lot more).

Thanks, I must admit that I haven't bought Loopy Pro yet, so any excuse lol. How easy would it be to record a set length loop with it?

Here is setting Loopy up from scratch to record a 4-bar loop synched to AUM's clock. 90% of the setup time in this video would not need to be done again.

What you see in the video:

    • make sure host sync is turned on
    • make sure recording quantization is set to Loopy's master length (which yu can easily change on the fly)
    • make sure Auto Count-Out is on (this means that when triggered loopy records a loop of the length you specified)
    • choose the master cycle length

Setting the master cycle length from the popup is the only thing you would need to do next time.

  • You can even have loopy record after the fact with its retrospective recording.

Thanks for that, does look just the job 👍

And you can set it up as multi-in/out to capture different streams in different loops.
