Hypno J-Bells Variations
I resisted the idea of posting any ‘holiday’ music but while I was experimenting with the very engaging Hypno-Sequence Mozaic script by @wim (recently upgraded and even better!), I thought it might be interesting to use a very familiar tune so that you can hear the ways that it works. Basically you enter or step sequence a line of melody and then feed it different rhythmic patterns so that it alters the melody with new arrangements.
So here I used Mersenne with ddtctmcc modifying the sounds. For the rhythms I used Rozeta Rhythm and then also added a bit of Hammerhead to keep a laid back pulse going. There is also some Pipa in there.

Nice one. 👍🏼
Thanks for listening. I don't think too many are hip to the 'hypno j-bell' micro genre.
Hypno indeed… I enjoyed it 👍
Sorry I missed this earlier. Very interesting effect that might work really well with something I’m playing around with at the moment. Fate is a funny thing. Happy New Year!
I think some Tibetan shawms would be a nice touch.
I want one of those!
“Honey… you’ll never guess what we’re getting with my Christmas bonus.”
Very cool.
Thanks for sharing a bit on your technique. I liked the combo of tinkly bells with weird underlying Pipa voices
Thanks for finding this and listening and also pulling it out of obscurity!
Yes - check it out for sure; even very simple phrases can get interesting.
Actually sampling those might be interesting. Speaking of instrument ideas, after playing with the new free Cantoria pipe organ, I was thinking you should try some of your improvisations on that. I'd like to hear that.
Thanks for the listen!
I think I finally started to figure out or at least got a better idea of how Pipa can be used by automating those pipa parameters.
