Sweet!
Now this is a pretty nifty addition to EM. Thanks for the video Doug! @thesoundtestroom
@Edward_Alexander Yes, I think it’s pretty Cool Beans
Hey, I heard your little four legged family member chiming in during the video. I’m sure you’ve shared it before, but what’s his/her name?
this is a great update, can't wait to play with it.
I've been really wanting this as I enjoy EM's sequencer features but am not a fan of the synths - a bit too shrill and chiptuney for my taste. looking forward to piping the MIDI out into other synths
@Edward_Alexander Yeah, he can be a pain at times🤣his name is Watson
Watson! He sounds like he’s about the same size as our little dog Cody.
Regarding EM, I tried briefly, some MIDI in/out experiments with it hosted in Drambo and couldn’t make it work for some reason. This was trying to send MIDI from EM on one track, to something else on a different track.
Maybe I’ll try again later, but keep everything on the same track. Hmm.. this might be one of those things that was designed specifically to work in AUM.
it works for me in Drambo. I only played briefly but had Lagrange after EM on track 1, with a MIDI Filter to only receive channel 1. Then on Track 2 in Drambo I had another filter for channel 2 and a second Lagrange after that. Both received the right MIDI and played the sequences from EM
I haven't had a chance to watch Doug's video yet or read the release notes, but am wondering why there isn't a third MIDI channel offered for the third sequence?
I watched the video, and feel foolish - you can simply scroll across to see the rest of the channels
@thesoundtestroom hi Doug, not to derail the thread but are there any photos of Watson? I haven't checked the Patreon lately, maybe you've shared some there
Good to know, thanks for confirming that it does work. I must have had something set up wrong. Will try again later.
And I also would like to see a pic of Watson!
@drewinnit @Edward_Alexander Here are a couple of pics of Watson🎄😊
@thesoundtestroom what a handsome little gentleman! super cute, thanks for sharing Doug
Aww how cute. Is that the Barkturia Keystep?
Man.. you need to do a sample mix beat with his gruffs and noises. Like with salome and EM
beat battle with that as source material? I'd have a go!
Aww Watson is awesome! Looks just like my sister’s dog Ritz.
He's a very naughty boy (but we love his dog etc).
Thanks @thesoundtestroom for the great tutorial Video !!
Epic!
Oh, wow, Watson looks like the right partner in crime for you, what a cute guy
Next updates will add some filter mod / pitch mod and (filter) overdrive, so stay tuned
And like always: A good rating or a nice review really helps the app to improve in the store
I treated myself for Christmas and am very impressed. A bit more complexity in the synths will be appreciated though so that’s good news. I’ve long wanted a sequencer that does something like what Elastic Melody does and you have cracked it
That's great to hear Yeah, I think the sequencer is really quick in creating interesting results
Great and cool app
For the sequencer, it will be very cool if we can restrict the range of the note when randomization is applied…
Thanks
How wmight this app compare to Riffer for randomly generating MIDI in specific scales?
Thanks
Random generates Notes only in the specific scale that's true, so pretty easy to create Notes that fit. If you press the randomise to quick you can always make an undo, also very handsome I think
Thanks! I´ve owned Elastic Drums for years and really like it, so this definitely has a pedigree. I bought Riffer a couple of days ago and am very impressed by it (Has already generated some decent song-starters), but i can see EM being a very solid integrated hardware-style unit. Will watch some more videos.
Cheers
Elastic Melody and MolliLooper are on Spring Sale till April 2nd on both platforms: iOS & Mac Desktop !!
EM: $9.99 -> $6.99
Molli Looper: $7.99 -> $4.99
I am considering grabbing EM but are there any updates on the filter overdrive? I like the almost 303-like rubbery sound and I think EM would benefit quite a bit from some dirt and buzz to go with it.
That's still planned, but unfortunately will take a bit longer to come
Oh wow! 🤩 These are both universal with native macOS now?! I’ve already got the brilliant EM but might have to grab Mollilooper too for native macOS version! Noice!
